This question comes to mind after a case of a young pit bull who was beaten to death in Egg Harbor Township. The dog was found in the woods, and appeared to be malnourished and stomped to death.

Do you think there should be harsher penalties enforced for those who commit severe acts of animal cruelty? Or, do you think the current consequences are sufficient?
