Sen. Lesniak wants Gov. Christie’s $300 Million renovation project stopped
The governor is up to 'business as usual' at the statehouse.
He's pushing through a $300 Million renovation project without a vote from the legislature. Despite the fact that the cost ballooned without explanation from about $38 million to the astronomical fee of $300 million, the governor will likely get his way.
Not so fast says Senator Ray Lesniak who has vowed to fight the measure. His options at this point seem only legal, potentially taking the administration to court because of the lack of legislative approval and any accountability on the money and how it will be spent.
It's a sign of incompetence to have a cost that is ten times the original estimate. It's a sign of corruption to push it through without a vote.
