Am I the only one getting tired of Richie Sambora's constant explanations for his departure from Bon Jovi? Now he says it was that he had solo projects he wanted to work in and that he wasn't given that choice. According to Sambora, he was told he had two choices, tour with Bon Jovi or leave.

"I saw a year of other priorities ahead of me," the guitarist also says. "I wanted to make my own music and I preferred doing a few shows with my own band. I said I wanted a break."

"It's hurt me that more and more untrue things have come out in the media. I just wanted calmer waters, and just do something for myself," he says. "We had just finished with another tour... (and) I saw a year of other priorities for me. I wanted to make my own music, and preferred doing a few shows with my own band. That was just not accepted."

At least he's sounding less bitter than he did back in February. Back then he was saying things like, "At the end of the day, if you're going to buy a can of Coke, you want the real thing. Jon (Bon Jovi) just has a different mentality. I know Mick Jagger wouldn't tour without Keith Richards and call it the Rolling Stones."
