You would of course think that the former ambassador to Germany would know the difference between a nazi and the American president. But this is the time of sound bites and dumbing down conversations, so anything goes.

You don't have to even make sense. Last night on Twitter a battle raged after I had a brief exchange with Piers Morgan. He was a controversial left-leaning CNN host who left the states and now hosts a popular morning show in London.

He took issue with my position regarding the responsibility of leaders and pundits to recognize the violence of the counter protesters in Charlotte. A position I took immediately over the weekend and one the President made as a central message of his press conference yesterday. Unfortunately people resorted to outlandish and ignorant attacks and claims doing everything but addressing the point of serious violence on several sides. You might think that it's counter productive and damaging to their own cause to resort to vile language and ignorant statements. It does seem however that the Democratic candidate for governor in NJ feels he can ride that ignorant to a win in November. Some of the tweets attacking me had to be blurred due to language.

Lemme know what you think. Have we lost the ability to have a conversation?

Here are a couple of the Tweets that had to be blurred for explicit language:
