We had no idea that the idea for "promote your stupid band" on our show would take off the way it did. But every time we give our homegrown Jersey performers the opportunity to show off, they step up to the plate in a big way.

So I figured maybe there are people out there who have written New Jersey theme songs and I sounded the call. Lo and behold the next day, I received exactly the kind of tune I was looking for: One that properly expresses just one aspect of the frustration that we live with here in New Jersey every day.

If you choose to submit, your song can be positive or negative, sad or satirical, happy or dumb, as long as it focuses on New Jersey.

Here is the latest, from New Jersey's own Victoria Sadowski. It's called "Property Tax Blues," and I'm sure all of you can relate to this.

If you like it, you can hear more of Victoria in person, at the Farmers' Market at Campus Town in Ewing on Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 1867 Sanctuary on Scotch Rd. in Ewing on October 15th at 3 pm.
