Pregnant Woman Stoned To Death in Pakistan

Here's another reason to be grateful you were born in the United States.

The family of a pregnant Pakistani woman beat her to death Tuesday because she married a man she loved instead of her cousin. A blood thirsty crowd watched as she was killed. She suffered massive head injuries. She was pronounced dead at a hospital soon after.

The 25-year-old woman's own father and brother along with her spurned fiance were among a dozen male relatives who used clubs and bricks in the so-called honor killing of Farzana Parveen for disobeying her family's wishes.

Mohammad Azeem told police he helped kill his daughter because she had shamed the family.

"I killed my daughter as she had insulted all of our family by marrying a man without our consent, and I have no regret over it."

You know, maybe we're not all the same after all.
