Just when you think the world couldn't get any more sensitive and any more stupid. Corn Pops came under fire in the Twitterverse because of the artwork on their cereal box. You see they had a bunch of Corn Pops drawn as if living creatures. These living Corn Pops were apparently hanging out at the mall because you know, that's what living Corn Pops do I guess. Some were in the arcade. Some were on the escalator. Well one Corn Pop was working there on the maintenance crew. He was a janitor.

But there was something a little bit different about this particular Corn Pop. A guy on Twitter noticed that this janitor Corn Pop was ever so slightly darker than all the other Corn Pops. Guess what happened next? Yep, you got it! He complained to Kellogg's that this was racist because the slightly darker Corn Pop, or a Corn Pop "of color" if you will, was being shown in a menial job.

O. M. G.

Yes, Saladin Ahmed tweeted: "hey @KelloggsUS why is literally the only brown corn pop on the whole cereal box the janitor? this is teaching kids racism."

Racism.

What did Kellogg's do? Did they grow a set and ignore this lunacy? Of course not. They responded within hours. Yes, only hours. Their response?
"Kellogg is committed to diversity & inclusion. We did not intend to offend – we apologize. The artwork is updated & will be in stores soon."

Within hours at some upper level of corporate America someone was so scared of being perceived as politically incorrect that decisions were made this rapidly for the art design to be replaced. Within hours. Over one person's complaint. Simply stunning.

Twitter wasn't done with Kellogg's, as you can see here.
