Police have located a vehicle and driver allegedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run last night.

Joyce Putmon, a 67-year-old woman of Blackwood, was struck and killed in Haddon Township shortly before 7 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

While crossing the Black Horse Pike near the intersection with Washington Avenue, Putmon was struck by a pickup truck. The truck kept driving, taking a right hand turn onto Main Street toward the American Asphalt Company.

Putmon was taken to Cooper Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7:24 p.m.

The truck was located this morning in Gloucester City and officials say they have also identified the driver believed to be involved in the hit-and-run.

The truck was described as white with a gray back and a homemade structure in the flatbed area - believed to be a produce box. The truck was also missing a headlight and turn signal lens.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Investigator Doug Rowand at (856) 225-8400 or Haddon Township Police at (856) 854-1176. Information may also be emailed to ccpotips@ccprosecutor.org.
