The winter storm last weekend has left a gaping hole for the Trader Joe's faithful in New Jersey. Literally.

The Westfield store is closed and needs to be rebuilt after a roof collapse.  This has shoppers stressing about where they'll buy their Charles Shaw wine by the case. (Good news — the Princeton store also carries it.)

It got me thinking of what other Jersey businesses are so beloved by their fans, that news of even a temporary closing causes sudden sweating.  My hot list involves coffee, wings and tomato pie (I must be hungry).

Wawa. All of 'em.

Sure, Jersey has its fair share of Quick Checks and 7-Elevens, but this convenience store chain has some real die-hard fans.  Any one of them will rave about the hoagies, coffee, hot breakfast sandwiches (Sizzlis, to be proper), and the fact that many spots also double as gas stations.  Safe to say, many a daily routine are built around each Wawa in Jersey.

DeLorenzo’s Tomato Pies.  It's not a pizza, it's a tomato pie. Ask the Jersey old timers, then taste it yourself — there's a difference.

The unthinkable almost happened, when the longtime restaurant closed its doors in Trenton in 2012.  Fans are happy to frequent the newer location in Robbinsville, with the upgrade of public rest rooms!

Delicious Orchards in Colts Neck

It's bad enough to drive by on a Monday, when visions of cider donuts have you ready to turn into the Colts Neck parking lot. Then you realize it's the one day of the week the store is closed.  They offer much more than drool-inducing baked goods.

"D.O." also offers groceries and gift items.

Rambo's Country Store.  This Califon spot has been around for more than a century!

It's got nothing to do with Sly Stallone and his blockbuster movies, and lots to do with really good meat.  The Hunterdon County butcher shop/general store is a real cornerstone of the community.

Columbus Flea Market.    Many a bargain hunter would weep if this massive place ever went away from Route 206.  It's billed as one of the area's "oldest and largest" flea markets, with plenty of outdoor space plus year-round indoor stores.  How many other spots can you buy seafood, an Amish-built shed and pick up the dry cleaning?

Chicken or the Egg.  Lovingly known as "Chegg," the LBI hotspot is about to celebrate its 25th anniversary.  It reopens for the season in April.  The tastiness of wings at this Beach Haven haunt are a big part of the draw for locals and Shore visitors alike.

Lucky Bone's Back Water Grille.  Look at that pizza goodness.

This Cape May spot is owned by the same folks who operate the Washington Inn and the Cape May Winery.  The food is tasty and the beer list is very serious.  Let's count ourselves 'lucky' that it's a year-round option, while other spots do close for the winter.
