Obama says George W. Bush left 'a really good TV sports package" -- and he says he uses it.

It was among the lighthearted moments today as Obama and his wife Michelle welcomed Bush and his wife Laura for the unveiling of Bush's official presidential portrait.

The former president was joined by other family members, including his father and mother.

Obama thanked Bush for his service to the country, and said it takes someone who has served as president to understand the challenges that face the White House occupant. He says he and Bush both learned quickly that "no matter how hard you try, you're not going to make everybody happy."

As for the presidential portrait, Bush saluted the artist, John Howard Sanden, for doing "a fine job with a challenging subject."
