Firefigthers remained at a wildfire on the Burlington/Ocean line for a second day on Monday.

New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Bob Geist said the fire, which broke out on Sunday morning, burned 357 acres and was 80 percent contained as of Monday morning.

"The NJ Forest Fire Service’s review of the Woodland Twp. fire this morning has shown great progress in the overnight and early morning hours," Geist said in an email.

FFS fire fighters and ground and air units remained at the fire along Route 72 along with a number of local volunteer fire departments throughout the day watching for  hot spots and monitoring the area for any ember jumps which might threaten nearby woods.

No evacuations have been ordered and no structures are threatened, according to Geist.
