MAHWAH — Authorities say an on-duty postal worker has been charged with drunken driving.

Mahwah police say the town's postal inspector contacted them and said 53-year-old Jeffrey Stepp might be intoxicated. He was found around 10:35 a.m. Wednesday in his postal truck on a local roadway.

Stepp was arrested there a short time later. Another postal worker was brought in to complete his deliveries.

Stepp could not be reached for comment.
