LAWRENCE (Cumberland) — The search continued Wednesday in Cumberland County for murder suspect Jeremiah Monell. Loved ones of his wife, meanwhile, are planning a vigil in her honor.

State Police spokesman Lawrence Peale said the search for Monell, charged with the murder of his estranged wife Tara O’Shea-Watson in her Commercial Township home on Monday, remained focused near his own home on Sawmill Road in the Cedarville section of Lawrence.

His blue Chevrolet pickup truck was found in that area on Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators are searching for Monell from the air as well as on the ground.

O'Shea-Watson has three children — two of them, 12 and 3 years old, with Monell. Her other children are 15, 16 and 18 years old.

Lilfelong friend Jen L. Messeck, who created a Go Fund Me page to help pay for O'Shea-Watson's funeral expenses and to help care for her children, said a vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in front of the Raymond Drive home where she was killed.

"We ask everyone to wear purple to raise awareness of domestic violence. This is a tragedy and it could have been prevented. She did everything the law required her to do," Messeck said. "She got the restraining order. She called the cops when (Monell) broke into the house. She was trying to file for a divorce. She tried to move out of the state and they said no. She did everything they told her to do and it cost it her life."

Messick said O'Shea-Watson was selling her belongs in order to return to Tennessee where her oldest daughter and mother live. Monell had just been served with divorce papers the day police said Monell killed his wife.
