LAWRENCE (Cumberland) — State Police said Tuesday afternoon that they have discovered the truck belonging to a man wanted in the gruesome slaying of his estranged wife.

Jeremiah Monell, 32, of the Cedarville section of this township, has been on the run since Monday, when police believe he killed Tara O’Shea-Watson, 35, in her Commercial Township home.

Family and friends of O'Shea's told 6ABC Action News that Monell slit her throat in front of their 12-year-old son. A friend also told NJ.com that O'Shea-Watson, who had two children with Monell, had recently obtained a restraining order against her husband, who she feared would one day kill her.

Authorities have released few details about the crime and did not say how the victim was killed.

State Police said the the truck was found in Cedarville. Troopers were searching the area near Sawmill Road.

Monell is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 140 pounds. He was last seen driving a 1994 blue Chevrolet S10 pickup with New Jersey license plate X91GJV.

State Police responded 8:05 a.m. Monday to a private residence on Raymond Drive in Commercial Township for the report of a deceased woman. Troopers found O’Shea-Watson unresponsive.

Monell has been charged with murder and related weapons possession with bail set at $1 million.

A GoFundMe page has been created to pay for O’Shea-Watson’s funeral and to care for her two children. The page shows her with two children, and says most of her family lives in Tennessee.

State Police asked anyone with information about Monell’s whereabouts to call 856-785-0036.
