NJ dog feels so guilty; maybe $3,000 from America’s Funniest Videos will help

A 16-ounce bag of Tater Tots costs about $20. Just about 9 slightly used Tots earned a Gloucester County family and its dog, Chase, $3,000.

Not a bad return on investment. But Chase, the Tots are all yours, buddy.

Maria Kreh of Mantua and her family took second place on America's Funniest Home Videos Sunday night with their video of Chase — who'd sneaked away with a mouthful of tater tots when family members weren't looking.

Kreh suspected something was up. So when she told Chase what a good boy he'd been, he fessed up — the awfully embarrassed-looking K9 let all the tots out of his mouth.

NJ.com reported earlier this month the family was almost disqualified from AFV when someone else took the video without permission, dubbed new audio over it, and it started spreading online with the dog misidentified as "Ralph." AFV producers decided not to fault the family, the report says.
