Democratic gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono and all four Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate were at the Newark home of Grace Alexander, a health care worker who has been trying to stave off foreclosure for four years.

Buono and the others called out Gov. Chris Christie's administration for being too slow to distribute $300 million in federal housing assistance. Buono says the funds are meant to help homeowners like Alexander lower their mortgage principle so they can remain in their homes.

Alexander's union, SEIU 1199, which endorsed Buono in February, co-hosted the event.
