Tickets to the concert, presented by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) and the Atlantic City Alliance (ACA), go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. People can purchase tickets for the show via Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 800-745-3000.

Ticket prices start at $39.50.

"What could be more exciting for tens of thousands of concert goers than a once-in-a-lifetime concert experience by the sea and Boardwalk," said CRDA Executive Director John Palmieri in an emailed statement. "It will be spectacular night of entertainment and a major economic boost for the city.”

Maroon 5, known for hits like "This Love" and "Moves Like Jagger" has sold 17 million albums worldwide and set the record for the most #1 singles by a group in the history of the Billboard Top 40 charts. Their most recent hits include "Sugar" and "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like a Motherf***er." Lead singer Adam Levine is a judge on NBC's "The Voice" and was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2013.

The opening acts of the concert will have a New Jersey theme. Nick Jonas, raised in Wyckoff, will open the concert along with Barnegat native Matt McAndrew, a finalist on "The Voice" in December.  He was coached by Levine.

Last year's concerts brought 120,000 fans to see Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton attracted 120,000 on two different nights. The CRDA and ACA expect this year's concerts to generate $23.3 million in spending.
