Kitten Burned In Philadelphia Gets NJ Home
A kitten that was set afire in Philadelphia earlier this year has a new home in New Jersey.
A woman in Essex County adopted "Justin" last month.
She tells the Star-Ledger she doesn't want her name or town to be released.
The kitten was 4 to 5 weeks old when he suffered burns over more than a third of its body, mostly on its head and back when he was found in Philadelphia's Kensington section in April.
He underwent surgery to remove the burned and scarred skin.
Officials are still offering a $6,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who doused the kitten with an accelerant and lit him on fire at the intersection of F and Clearfield streets in Philadelphia April 25.
