A free event in Downtown Mount Holly that combines two popular traditions: Mount Holly's Ice Carving Festival & Annual Chili Contest. A family-oriented event from 10:30 am - 3 pm. Raise a glass of hot cider with us from 1 - 4 pm as Terhune Orchards honors the trees that give us our wonderful apples.  The ancient tradition of wassailing the apple tree to protect them from harm is a popular winter celebration at Terhune Orchards that you won't want to miss! Activities include singing, dancing and playing of primitive instruments, toasts of hot cider and placing gifts of cider-soaked bread in the tree branches while chanting the lively words of praise and New Year. Warm yourself next to our bonfire (marshmallow roasting included) or in our store. Farm wagon rides, weather permitting.  Live music will be performed all afternoon in the farm market. Venture back to a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth at Discover the Dinosaurs UNLEASHED. Windansea is hosting the 2017 Beef & Brew St. Patrick's Day Parade Fundraiser from 3 - 7 pm. Tickets are $30 (2 or more, $25 each) and includes buffet dinner & brew. The 5th annual Ponycon features three days of programs for adult fans plus an activity & event track just for kids and families. Our annual free Afternoon Family Concert entitled "Around the World with the PSO." Jazz legend Artie Shaw's Concerto for Clarinet will feature soloist Janice Coppola and a movement from Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor will also be performed. A special highlight of the program will be the world premiere of our very own conductor-emeritus, Sabin Pautza's Oldies and Goodies, a work dedicated to Charles Prince and the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra. Scott Joplin's The Entertainer will round out the program. Concerts begin at 3pm.
