What would your reaction be if you received a letter from your child's school saying that they were overweight? That's what's happening to many parents across the country as schools get back in session.

Many school officials are sending home letters to parents notifying them that their child's body mass is at 95% or greater. Schools are attempting to crackdown on childhood obesity. The schools are calling them "healthy" or "unhealthy" letters but parents have chosen to call them "fat letters."

But is this really the school's job? Is it the responsibility of the schools to decide whether or not your child's BMI (Body Mass Index) is satisfactory or not?
