Some courageous Democrats stood against the party leadership, and Republicans defied the governor on a deal to raise your gas tax by 23 cents per gallon — but with the cowardice of so many buckling under pressure from special interests and political bullies like Christie and state Senate President Steven Sweeney, we lost big today.
That said, you proved the power of your voice — it helped move 14 senators to stand with you. Now we turn to those who put their own personal interests ahead of their constituents.
