Andy Chase, host of the afternoon show on our sister station 105.7 The Hawk joined us this morning to get the word about an amazing grass roots fundraiser to benefit the Ocean of Love Foundation.

Andy is living high atop a billboard in the Lowe's/Target Shopping Center on Hooper Ave in Toms River. The goal is to raise $105,700 for Ocean of Love. Andy stays up there from Monday at 5pm to late Friday afternoon.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to help out the cause by broadcasting live along side Andy (albeit on the ground) for two nights, Wednesday and Thursday, during the Radiothon.

The effort helps real families, right here in our own state. Ocean of Love provides support for the families in a multitude of ways including transportation to and from hospitals, counseling, funeral costs, food assistance, holiday adoptions and so much more! There are countless stories of how Andy’s efforts, combined with the Ocean of Love Foundation have helped these families get through some very tough times.

I get Andy to come on air with us to get the word out and what does Bill do? Get the station wrong. Ugh. Then, Bill decides to ask the very important questions, like how does Andy go to the bathroom. Not exactly the questions I thought we'd be asking when I put this together. You can see part of interview with Andy and Bill in the YoUTube clip above.

Andy is doing an amazing job and he has a heart of gold. Andy gives up a week of his life to raise this money and I'm more than happy to help any way I can.

Here's how you can help:

The Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon goes until Friday at 6pm when Andy will come down from the billboard. Donate now!
