Have We Totally Lost Our Use of Proper Grammar?

Jim has been discussing the use of proper grammar and how we have become such an ego-centric society, that it has affected the way they speak.

Years ago, if you were having a conversation with someone and wanted to tell them that you were going somewhere with your family, you would say, "My family and I are traveling this weekend." Nowadays, you find it much more common for people to say " Myself and my family," or "me and my family" because we have become so centered on ourselves.
