Gender revealed! The Zarrow family is expecting a…

Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow, his wife Amy, and 2 year-old son Jackson unwrapped the gender of their new baby live on the air Thursday.

IT'S A BOY!

Amy and I had our 20-week ultrasound on Wednesday, and I'm happy to report Baby Z is healthy and growing right on schedule. 10 fingers, 10 toes, a strong heartbeat... and apparently the proper anatomy to determine definitively we're expecting another son.

He was sucking his thumb and thrashing around like a nut throughout the ultrasound... Such a cutie!

It was Amy's idea to do the "on-air gender reveal party". The suspense of waiting an extra day to discover the gender of our child was awful. (I didn't sleep last night.) But I'm glad we were able to share this special moment with my work family and all of you.

Jackson is incredibly excited to be a big brother. And Mommy and I are so excited he'll have a new playmate come February.
