We were fortunate today on the show to be joined by NJ State Trooper, Brian Kerrigan. Brian not only keeps us safe but he is a loving father as well.

Brian's daughter Ciara was born with a rare life threatening genetic disorder known as Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Individuals with PWS have Hyperhaglia (excessive appetite), decreased calorie utilization due to low muscle mass and hypotonia. The urge to eat is physiological and overwhelming; even with constant vigilance and behavioral intervention it can be difficult to control. Strict environmental control and constant supervision are the only ways to prevent life-threatening overeating and extreme obesity at present. At the present time, there is no cure for it.

Brian joined us because there is a fundraiser for Ciara this Sunday, May 21 at the Dublin House in Red Bank from 4-8pm. Brian is part of the band that joined us in studio not too long ago, Suspended Justice. Tickets are $40 and include drink specials and free appetizers.
