Dense fog is hampering the morning commute for drivers this morning for the second day.

Foggy conditions are plaguing parts of New Jersey and visibility is reduced to less than a quarter mile or more in some parts. The fog is expected to lift around 10 a.m. this morning according to an advisory issued by the National Weather Service.

Airports Affected

The weather conditions are affecting some flights, the FAA reports that weather conditions are delaying flights out of La Guardia Airport in NY by about 20 minutes on average. Delays at Philadelphia International Airport are slightly longer at 37 minutes. The FAA urges travelers to check with their individual airlines for more detailed flight information.

At Newark International and Teterboro, the airport is reporting gate hold and taxi delays of 15 minutes or less and general arrival delays of about the same.

Speed Restrictions on Bridges

At about 3:40 a.m. this morning fog and speed restrictions were issued in both directions for the Bayonne Bridge, Goethals Bridge, Outerbridge Crossing. Speed limits on these bridges were reduced to 35 miles-per-hour.
