Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to sit down with former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand for an interview that covered a variety of topics. We are approaching the five-year anniversary of the life threatening injury Eric LeGrand suffered on the field during a game against Army at MetLife Stadium.

Since that October day in 2010, Eric's amazing amount of courage and optimism throughout his recovery has captured the attention of millions of people. In 2013, he established Team LeGrand of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. On Sunday, June 7th, Eric LeGrand will be hosting the 5th annual A Walk To Believe 5K Walk and Run. The event will be taking place at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway.
You can find out more about the event here.

Here are some highlights from my exclusive interview with Eric LeGrand:

Eric LeGrand talks about beating the odds on his road to recovery.

I did a round of rapid fire questions with Eric. Among other things, we find out his top favorite 5 rappers, his favorite spot on the Jersey shore and his opinion on the debate of the line between North and South Jersey.

Eric LeGrand talks about playing the what if game and what he wants his legacy to be.

The strides Eric LeGrand has made in his rehab process are incredible. He is one of the most inspirational people New Jersey has ever seen. While there is a long road ahead, Eric is living every day to the fullest with a smile on his face.
