BERGENFIELD — Just three hours after police asked the public to help identify a woman who arrived in town two weeks ago with no identification they reported she had been reunited with family.

According to the Bergenfield Police Department's Twitter feed, the woman may have come from New York City, but they are not certain.

Police Chief Cathy Madalone told the Bergenfield Daily Voice that the woman, who the story said was Filipino, told police through a translator that she "got here about two weeks ago." She did not have any identification and provided very little information to officers who found her.

Police are encouraging anyone who can help identify the woman to call Detective Tortora at 201-387-4000 ext. 4112.
