D&J listeners share the strangest things they’ve seen on NJ roadways
Yesterday we covered the story of a strange item that fell onto Rt. 1 in South Brunswick Wednesday evening. Was it a couch or a mattress? No. How about a classroom!
Yep, a modular trailer outfitted as a classroom was headed to Princeton High School when it fell off the flatbed truck. So we asked our listeners if they've seen anything stranger than that!
Here's what we heard:
- Hundreds of rolls of toilet paper on the GSP near the Driscoll Bridge
- Thousands of live clams on Ocean Ave. in Long Branch
- A guys dressed like Super Mario hopping on Rt. 36 in Eatontown
- A sofa in the middle lane of 287
- A Cessna airplane on Rt. 18
- A bear running out of a mini van on Rt. 81 in Pa.
- A real live orangutan in the passenger seat of pick-up on Rt. 9
- And of course an old man pleasuring himself on Rt. 1
I'm not sure, but I think I saw Chris Christie in shorts on a beach chair in the middle of the NJ Turnpike. Maybe he was waiting for the Cinnabon to open at the rest stop.
