HACKENSACK — Authorities say they've arrested a New Jersey man suspected of being the "Countdown Bandit" and charged him in connection with 10 bank robberies that all happened since February 2015.

Police arrested Marcelino Garcia of Hackensack on Thursday, hours after authorities say he robbed a bank in Wallington.

Bergen County prosecutors say investigators linked Garcia to a vehicle spotted at the robberies during an investigation involving local and federal authorities.

Authorities say Garcia robbed the banks in Bergen and Passaic counties using the same method of counting down until tellers gave him money.

Garcia is jailed on $750,000 bail. He's expected in court on Friday.

He's been implicated in the following bank robberies:

Feb. 19, 2015 – Community Bank, Rochelle Park
July 1, 2015 – Community Bank, Maywood
Aug. 12, 2015 – Hudson City Savings Bank, River Edge
Oct. 23, 2015 – Hudson City Savings Bank, New Milford
Nov. 6, 2015 – Hudson City Savings Bank, Glen Rock
Dec. 3, 2015 – Hudson City Savings Bank, Lyndhurst
Dec. 29, 2015 – Hudson City Savings Bank, Oradell
March 8, 2016 – M&T Bank, Wayne
April 28, 2016 – M&T Bank, Garfield

It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.
