For those of you used to airports like Newark Liberty, allow me to introduce you to the one in Savusavu, Fiji. This was our final airport on the way to our resort on our honeymoon.

This was our twin prop plane after we landed as they were unloading the luggage. See the guy wheeling out the bags? He doesn't bring it to some huge baggage area where you wait at a carousel. He drops them on the wet pavement and you pick through the pile.

Here's a nice wall mural but if you notice there are no real walls. All the airport has is some pillars with a canopy roof over it. Your gate area is a bench.

Here's the entire ticketing area. That's right, just this one little wooden booth. You've seen bigger than this at miniature golf places where you pick up your clubs.

Finally here's the Savusavu airport food court. A cooler with a few drinks. It's not even really a vending machine. You don't put money in this. There's a little padlock on the bottom of the door and when you want a drink you have to find this Fijian woman who sits around with the key. If she's not there that day you don't get a pre-flight drink.
