"Does my doggy have canine flu? Heaven knows.. but I lift his tail, and in it goes!"...  This is no joke. Canine influenza is becoming a big health problem for a lot of dogs in the Northeast these days.

They are seeing a lot of it in New York City. One New Jersey veterinary expert suggests that because your dog has a higher body temperature than humans, it is also harder to guage when that 'normal' temperature becomes abnormally high.

You may not like his answer for how you monitor the temperature. He suggests dog owners buy a rectal thermometer...and use it!
