Bill Spadea on the standup stage? Yep it actually happened

I was proud to be the MC for a Night of Comedy event with Gov. Dick Codey and Republican Assembly Leader Jon Bramnick at the Stress Factory in New Brunswick. It was for a great cause, with the proceeds going to Alzheimer's research.

I'm not a comic by any means, but for a good cause, I was willing to be the warmup for Gov. Codey, Assembly leader Bramnick and Vinnie Brand. I opened up with the infamous Muffin Joke. Some were surprised that it got awkwardly quiet after I told that one.

Thankfully, there was redemption later on in the evening. My friend Vinnie Brand gave me a joke to try right before I walked on stage and it did great! So there's hope for me yet.

Even after the rest of the morning show asked me to retire the muffin joke but now I'm thinking that I may keep it just to see how awkward quiet I can make a crowd when I tell it.
