Just in time for the "early decision" application deadline of Nov. 1, the personal finance website WalletHub has released its 2024 list of the best colleges and universities.
The analysis looked at more than 800 higher-ed institutions throughout the country, and graded them based on 30 key measures across seven categories: career outcomes; education outcomes; student selectivity; faculty resources; campus safety; campus experience; and cost and financing.

Every school was graded on a 100-point scale, and the numbers next to the categories show where the school ranks among the 857 colleges and universities that were scored.
The No. 1 school in New Jersey also ranks No. 3 nationwide.
