85-year-old man stabs son after argument, Ocean County cops say

MANCHESTER — An argument between a father and son turned violent Wednesday morning, resulting in the older man under arrest and facing charges.

According to the police, a 58-year-old man reported his father Victor had stabbed him in the abdomen with a large knife after the argument. The son told police he was able to disarm his father after the incident. He was treated by medical personnel who responded to the scene.

Police say the stabbing was the result of an argument between father and son the night before. Brescia was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Brescia was taken to Community Medical Center with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
