3 hurt when car crashes into cemetery, burst into flames
PENNSAUKEN (AP) — Three people injured when their vehicle crashed into a South Jersey cemetery were rescued by passers-by shortly before the car burst into flames.
6 ABC reports the crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. Saturday on southbound Route 130 in Pennsauken. The car hit a traffic light control box and concrete barrier, then flipped end-over-end before crashing through a wrought iron fence around the Crescent Memorial Cemetery.
Passing motorists were able to pull out the three victims — a 20-year-old man and two women, ages 18 and 19. Authorities say one of the women was hospitalized in critical condition, while the two other people were being treated for undisclosed injuries.
It's not clear who was driving the vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
