Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark bridged the period between disco and electronica with synth-pop hits like “So In Love” in 1985. OMD's really hit the big time in 1986 with the hit “If You Leave” from the movie, “Pretty in Pink” with Molly Ringwald; it peaked at #4. While technically not the follow up to that hit,my request for this week, “Dreaming” was nonetheless the second biggest hit of the band’s career. It topped out at #16 in 1988; it never gets played anymore. Big Joe didn’t play it, either.
