What Did that Politician Just Say?

Politics is getting a potty mouth.

The mayors of New York and Philadelphia and the governor of New Jersey have all let loose with a few choice vulgarities in public over the past two weeks. And all three men knew full well the microphone was on.

Foul language has been uttered in politics before. But the blue streak is making some people wonder whether it reflects the coarsening effects of pop culture in this era of reality TV, or perhaps an effort by politicians to sound like regular guys.

Whatever the reason, it's not cool to 23-year-old Kristina Klimovich of New York. She says there are lines public servants shouldn't cross.

But 52-year-old Lisa Garfield of Springfield, Mass., says occasional cursing makes politicians "more human."
