The ban on sledding actually started in Montville in 2007, but now town officials are thinking of making it a full-on crime to go sledding.

So a joyful winter event that kids love doing is now going to be a crime? Are the kidding? Well, unfortunately they aren't.

As you'd expect, the town is claiming that the ban is over safety and liability concerns. So who suffers? The kids, of course! Can you imagine being a parent that takes your kid sledding and you wind up getting a ticket for you child having fun?

So do you think that the town should protect itself from any liabilities by banning kids from sledding? Is this really the way to solve the issue?
