Can you guess what Kylie would do with a tube of chapstick?
The holiday season often brings a spirit of fun and anticipation, and one beloved tradition that has captured the hearts of families across the country is the Elf on the Shelf. This little elf, a scouting agent for Santa, is meant to entertain children while encouraging them to behave in the lead-up to Christmas. However, the whimsical nature of this tradition can sometimes lead to unexpected challenges. This article dives into funny, relatable, and sometimes downright cringe-worthy moments associated with the Elf on the Shelf, as recounted by parents who have navigated the joys and trials of this playful holiday custom.
The Cheerful Spy
For many families, the Elf on the Shelf has become a yearly fixture, a magical little being who watches over the household and reports back to Santa each night. However, maintaining this tradition requires some commitment and creativity. Many parents find themselves in a race against the clock to move the elf each night, leading to some humorous and frantic last-minute solutions. One mother, for instance, hilariously explained to her children that the elf didn’t move because they weren’t behaving well enough the previous day. This creative spin not only saved her from having to rush around at bedtime but also turned a potential failure into a clever lesson about responsibility—much to the children's chagrin.
Close Calls and Epic Fails
With the elf’s power to create excitement comes the possibility of near disasters. One father shared a story about his young daughter screaming in horror as her brother accidentally pulled the elf off the shelf, believing it would result in Santa's wrath. Their mom had to think quickly and assure the children that it was okay, claiming Santa was understanding of their brother's antics. This close call turned into a funny family story that they can share for years to come.
The Elf’s Latest Adventures
Families often find creative ways to position their elves. Some parents have shared that instead of simple placements, they design elaborate scenes, set up tiny food fights between the elves, or create scenarios involving household pets. These little adventures can foster creativity and generate laughs, contributing to the joyful atmosphere of the holidays.
What if It All Goes Wrong?
But what if the elf is forgotten? Many families have experienced the panic of realizing the elf has not been moved. In these situations, parents often resort to creative excuses, such as claiming the elf was too tired to move that night or even that they were busy preparing for Christmas. It's a testament to the lengths parents will go to preserve the magic of the season for their children, often laughing together about these mishaps in later years.
Conclusion: Embracing the Fun
Ultimately, the Elf on the Shelf is more than just a tradition; it’s a means of connecting with family during the bustling holiday season. While its whimsical antics may occasionally lead to chaos or comedy, the memories created are often cherished long after the holidays have ended. Whether it’s a cheeky little elf bungee jumping from the ceiling fan or getting caught in a snowball fight with action figures, these moments contribute to the legacy of family fun and laughter during the most wonderful time of the year.
For families who choose to partake in this festive tradition, the key lesson is simple: it’s okay if things don’t go perfectly according to plan. The laughter shared, the creative solutions employed, and the stories generated are what truly make the holiday season special.

And time it is 2:10 on a Friday. Woo! Who would have thought hell would really exist and that it would be in New Jersey? Screaming at people at gas stations is a New Jersey tradition. From Caucus, New Jersey. It's everybody's favorite game show. Oh, there's nothing in the world like action. The North calls this a sub, while the South calls it a hogy. The North calls this Taylor Ham, and the South calls it pork roll. Hey, you talking about Jersey? Me and my friends are from Jersey. Oh crap, there's more of them. Hey, come on. There's people from Jersey all over. Who here is from Jersey? You know, there's an operating [Music] day cuz down the shore everything's all right. The sun shines brightly on a Jersey afternoon. their weekends on the Jersey Shore. What do you hear? What do you say? Live from New Jersey. It's Dinsky and More on New Jersey 101.5. Hey there. Hello. Good afternoon. It's Jeff and Kylie with you. I'm Jeff Deinsky. I'm Kylie Moore. Uh look to your left. You see that uh strange uh device over there sitting there? Oh uh whatever this is. Yeah. Yeah. But if you just looked at it at first, doesn't it look like it'd be something that might take batteries, if you know what I'm saying? Oh, good god. Doesn't it? Look at the end of it. Come on. Okay, I'm throwing it over to you. I I don't want to touch it anymore. Hey, all I know is Kyle and EJ were playing with it. That's all I know. That's all I know. That's all I want to know. how they were. I'm not getting into that. I don't know. Anyway, it is a Friday. I need hand sanitizer. It's a Friday afternoon. We uh are going to be doing our end of the week game. Uh we're going to be playing a round of what would Kylie do in the 6:00 hour. This is a fun game because it's it's it's a 5050 at worst. Uh you know, we we give her two different options. It's kind of like the what like would you rather game and uh usually neither option is uh very appealing. So she has two options. She's written down her answers. I do not have any fornowledge of what those answers are. But you could always use me to pick my brain if you want to phone a friend and I could try to guide you because you know I've worked with this person for many many years. Maybe I'll know a thing, maybe I won't. I think I think once or twice I have led people astray. I can't really quite remember my record on this, but uh I'm usually pretty good. So anyway, we've got lottery tickets to give away. That's going to be coming up in the 6:00 hour. We have I believe it is the final day for the code words to try to win that Trans Siberian Orchestra prize package. That is a night in Philadelphia. You're put up in a great hotel for two nights. You get VIP tickets to see Trans Siberian Orchestra. And uh I mean, you know, it's just it's a spectacle, man. That show. And for a lot of people, it really brings home the Christmas spirit. And you even get $500 spending money. So, that code word is coming up. You have to enter that on the New Jersey 101.5 app. That'll be coming up in about 6 minutes or so. I have to figure out who I want you to do an impression of. Maybe you should do it this hour. Do you have one? Do you have one in mind? You do the five. No, I don't. Now you you do the five. Yeah, it's going to happen at 220 roughly and of roughly about 520. Kylie will do the 520. I'll do the 220. Just take it easy on me. I'm not great at impressions. Anyway, another thing that we're going to be doing today, speaking of the holidays, uh we had you guys call in over a couple of different shows and you helped us put together the lyrics. Actually, the majority of the lyrics are suggestions from listeners. It's more your guys song than ours, but we've got another parody song of the 12 days of Christmas. It's the 12 days of Jersey. Very excited. It almost serves like a little mini time capsule for things that happen during the year. You know, some are more evergreen things associated with New Jersey. But we are going to be joined in about an hour, a little bit less, by Ashley Matthews. Ashley Matthews is the director of coral activities from Hillsboro High School. She has her legacy show choir and she has these kids actually record the 12 days of Jersey. She did it last year. It was so funny. It was so well done and she has agreed to do it again this year and we bless her for this. I mean, no, seriously, cuz I mean, like, they're just doing it for fun. And so, we're going to uh we're going to check in with her to see know what their progress is and if Hillsboro High School wants to promote anything, but we'll talk with her in a little while. All right. So, Kylie, you know what's happening on uh January 1st? Oh, there are certain people who are going to be getting a raise. Oh, okay. Yes. If you uh if you are making minimum wage, then the minimum wage is going up on January 1st. Now, this minimum wage back when Murphy first took office in 2018, this was 8 years ago. The minimum wage then was $860. He had campaigned on that $15 an hour minimum wage. Progressives were behind this. A lot of people felt it was going to harm small business. etc., etc. Now, under the state constitution, the minimum wage is now tied into the CPI, the consumer price index. Not to make this boring, but in other words, inflation goes up, consumer price index goes up, the minimum wage automatically by law now goes up. It was a phase in over several years. We already hit the 15. So coming up January 1st, the minimum wage in New Jersey will now be $15.92 an hour. Almost 16 bucks an hour. Almost. Not quite, but almost double what it was 8 years ago. It's crazy. Now, I know it's not just kids that are earning minimum wage. You know, sometimes you're just looking for something to do part-time in retirement just to stay busy. It's not even about the money. You might take a minimum wage job. sometimes just it's just what's out there at that time, you know, to take a minimum wage job. I know it's not just kids, but almost all of us when we were kids, almost all of us, your first job was likely to be minimum wage, right? Mhm. Okay. What was your first job is what we want to know. Your very very first job 800283101.5. I remember what my first job was. I'm trying to remember what I was earning. I want to say it was like seven something an hour, but I was working as a front desk worker in a dentist's office. How did you get that? How old were you? Like 14. How did what how did you get that job at 14? Knowing the dental hygienist. Was this a family friend? Yeah, but also it was the dentist's office that I went that I went to. Okay. And they were like, "We need someone to work occasionally the front desk at night." Okay. At 14, that's actually impressive. Oh, thank you. Did you ever have anybody Did you have any patients like come in and kind of side eye you? Like, you're kind of young to be a front desk receptionist at a medical office. No. Really? Not that I remember. Were you Were you tall even back then? Not yet. Oh, you were not tall yet? No, I wasn't tall until 15. No kidding. Between 14 and 15, that summer between freshman and sophomore year, I grew two feet and two boobs. Wait a minute. You did not grow two feet. It felt like it. It felt like it. Yes. What What was it really? Like 9 in or something like that? Probably. Yeah, that's Oh, I was a little I was a little peanut. No kidding. No kidding. Yeah. Oh, that's something I never knew about you. Boobs aside, we want to talk about your first job. Hey. Hey, you brought that up. I didn't ask. I wasn't going there. But yeah, we want to know what was your very very first job. I'm assuming it was a minimum wage or it's probably close to it, but what was the very very first job you ever had? 1 800283101.5. It's 219. Here's Fast Traffic Traffic Sprinting, a New Jersey family-owned. I've got one I could tell you, but I want to tell you about my dad's before I tell you uh mine. I'll tell you mine later, maybe. But uh my dad um he's been gone for years so obviously this goes way back but my dad's very first job he worked only one day and then his dad made him quit. He worked only one day in uh what would amount to like a convenience store is what we would call it today. Right? He worked like a good 8 n 10 hours like a long more than full-time shift, right? And the owner of the shop and he did everything. He swept up. He was ringing people up on the register. He was learning that he he did everything. And his pay at the end of the day, the guy hands him a candy bar. Okay, that was his pay was a candy bar. So my dad not not knowing anything cuz he's like 12 or something like that at the time, you know. And uh I mean like everything was almost like Scrooge times back then. Kids at 12 worked, you know. And so he's walking home, he bites into the candy bar, a worm crawls out of it. There's a worm in his candy bar and that was his pay. He gets home, he tells his dad, his dad brings him back to the store, yells at the guy, and he's like, "You're not you're not working here anymore." That was my dad's first job. That story might uh might come in handy later on in the show. Oh, there's some foreshadowing. I know exactly what you're getting at. Yeah. Yep. All right. So, what about you? We're asking this because most people's first job when you're a kid, usually it's going to be minimum wage. if you're lucky, maybe it's a little bit higher. Uh, but the minimum wage is going up January 1st uh to um $15.92 an hour in New Jersey. What was your very first job, Tara? On Staten Island, you're on New Jersey 101.5. My first job was a Pizza Hut. Doing what? Um I answered the phones and took orders, but it wasn't like a the large Pizza Hut like where you um dine in. Um it had like maybe two or three tables in in the restaurant. Gotcha. It was mostly uh delivery or takeout. Yeah. Yeah. Delivery, pickup. Yeah. Um and I was 40 I'm 49 now. So I was 16 and I was making 725 an hour. Yeah, I remember that as a minimum wage for sure. Back in like 92. Yep. Yeah. Did you Did you like it? Like did you get along with people? Did you have fun with other teenagers there or was it just drudgery? Was it horrible? I did. I It was only like me and like one other teenager. I was like maybe 18 and then the managers were all older. But it was great cuz at the end of the night when like nobody they placed an order and they didn't pick it up. Guess who got to take pizza home? Not a bad deal. So you had a ton of pizza for those months. After a while I got sick of it. But then I started stinking like Pizza Hut pizza and I didn't pizza for the longest time. Isn't it true when you cuz some of my jobs, it wasn't my first job, but several of my teenage jobs, they were fast food. And it is so true. When you work in that kind of like food thing, you end up not wanting that food at all. You get so you get so quickly burned out on it. You walk home, you're smelling like a whopper. Oh, like Oh, you do. You do. You smell like took a shower. No matter what time I got home, if I worked till 10, 10 10:30, I was hopping in the shower. And you still smelled like pizza probably. Yeah. I don't blame you for a second, Terry. Yep. Yep. It's crazy. Thank you so much for calling New Jersey 101.5. Yeah, that was one thing nobody tells you when you're getting a fast food job as a kid. It's like, yeah, you're going to smell like the food and you're never going to want to eat it. That's kind of the nice thing about having worked in a dentist's office. It's like you already aren't happy to be here, so there's not going to be like the stink of it. It's just like, "Oh, you're already unhappy. You're just now more unhappy." Right. Right. Carol in Middle Sex, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hi. Uh, how are you doing? Hi, Carol. My first job was in high school. I was a lifeguard. Excuse me. It's okay. Um, we had Carol, do you Carol, do you have like a little cold like I swear 90% of New Jersey has right now? Yes, I do. Yeah. Yeah. I hope you feel better. Everybody's got something. I'm still coughing myself. Welcome to the party, pal. Anyway, so um back in high school, y grew up in Irvington and during the summer we had portable pools set up in the uh playgrounds and I got a job as a lifeguard, but I didn't know how to swim. What? Then how are we to trust you to save someone? Because the pools were only three feet deep. Oh, so you just had to have so you just had to be normalsized adult or you know teen where you could like get a really little kid out of the three foot w all right that's that's scary though. No, it makes sense. If all you got to do is run into the water and grab the kid, it's like okay. I I suppose. I just don't know how I would feel about that as a parent. Did you ever have to actually run in and grab a kid out of 2 and 1/2 ft of water? No, I didn't. No. So you just kind of So you just kind of hung out and looked pretty all looked pretty all summer. That was it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Obviously, Carol, thank you for calling New Jersey on a 1.5 feel better. Oh my gosh. Yeah. That uh sadly, you know, that reminds me of cuz I got kids. There's a Spongebob Squarepants episode where Spongebob and I know it makes no sense because he's already living under the sea. Just you just got to go with the premise. Okay. Spongebob gets a job as a lifeguard and he has no idea how to swim. Sure. It kind of reminds me very much of that. Very much so. All right. What was your very, very first job? 1800283101.5. Is the season to spread love. Coming up on 238 with Jeff Dinsky and Kylie Moore on this Friday afternoon. We want to know what your first job was. What were you doing? How much were you making back then? 1 800283101.5. I feel like such a loser that your first job now I did little things to Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, go on. What? How are you the loser when my first job was dentist uh receptionist? Because that's more that's a cleaner, better job than most of us when we were kids. like to to work in a m more mature clean desk job role than flipping burgers or working in a warehouse. That's that's better than most of us did. And plus, you were younger than me. Like I did I did things to make money, but it was like little side hustle things like, you know, shoveling driveways, things like that. Oh, well, if we count that, then my first job would be babysitting. Uh, well, okay. Well, there you go. Yeah. So, I did stuff like that. But my first actual paycheck paycheck from a company, um, I was, uh, probably about I think I was just turning 16, not quite 16, so probably 15. But I worked I worked in a place called Demblings, and it's no longer there. It was in Rawway on Grand Avenue, and it was like a familyowned grocery store. And my job, I was a janitor in the grocery store. I was mopping floors. I was cleaning those god-awful bathrooms. Any Yeah, clean up on aisle seven. That was me. I had to go do the cleanup. Oh, another kid sick in aisle two. That was me. I had to clean all that up. It was nasty, man. I had to go in and clean up the uh the butchering room, you know, the deli room, all the all the uh equipment, the meat slicers and everything after they were working all day. Oh, those are nasty as well. I had I just I was I was a janitor. That's basically my job. So you were like a front desk receptionist. I was a janitor. Okay. I had to deal with screaming children who wanted to who did wanted no part of being in a dentist office. I had to deal with screaming children who were responsible for clean up an aisle too. Yeah. All right. What I'm just saying your job was better than mine. 1800 283 101.5 Rick on the turnpike. You're on New Jersey 101.5. Hi. Hey Rick. Hey. I had a career post paper route when I was young, but my first paycheck job was uh Rickles Home Center department store. Rickles helps you do it better. Do it better with Rickles. 1969, 1970. Yeah. And I made $210 an hour. Yeah. Isn't that crazy? So then that was the minimum wage. Yeah. Something like that. Maybe $2. I think I'm 10 cents over minimum. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, now and and I'm sorry, how old were you? I'm 72. No, no, no, no, no. How old were you then? Oh, uh, 17, I believe. Okay. All right. Did you like it? Uh, yeah. I started out in the warehouse and then I worked on the main floor. I was there for a year. It wasn't bad. Uh, I one of my main jobs when seasonal when I I decorated all the Christmas trees and I'm Jewish, so that was a good joke. Well, hey, I mean, maybe that's not so bad. Like, you got to at least kind of have fun doing it even though it wasn't part of your faith, you know? Absolutely. It says I married a Christian about 46 years ago who I'm still with. It turned out to be good experience. A wow. 46 years. Congratulations. Yeah, that's awesome. Thank you. Yeah. Have a great weekend. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Sally in Browns Mills, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey. Hi guys. Uh, I definitely did not have a better job than Kelly, but maybe a better job than Jaff. I was a buser at Lake Moa Country Club on in the summertime when they had the restaurant open outside. Oh, you bust tables. Yes. Yeah. Oh, country club. That's automatically better than dentist office. No, but she was a buser. It was a country club. You don't understand. Is it kind? I don't know why you don't want to admit that that was a better job than what we had. Because I do understand, Sally. So So what kind of uh do you remember what your pay was? So it was under minimum wage. It was 525 and then within my first two weeks, I got a 25 cent raise because I was really busting. And in that country club, you had to go up and downstairs with all the dirty dishes to get it to the dishwasher. So yeah, he did not want to drop that. What was the what was the clientele like at the country club? Like were they super snobby to you? Um, no. So I remember that one of the clientele was actually people that my dad went to high school with and I was like 17 and they had four-year-olds and they're like, "Oh, wait. I know your dad. Wait, I could have had a 17-year-old by now." Oh, yeah. Oh, that's funny. Yeah. And what And what do you even say to that? You're just like holding the dishes like Yes. Yeah. Right. Um in my mind I was like, "So I guess my dad had me young." Okay. Oh god. Yeah. And then you just had to sit there and smile politely. It's so awkward. Enjoy your dinner. Right. While thinking this tub is getting really heavy. I got to go. Enjoy the shrimp or whatever. Mhm. But did you like the job? Oh yeah. I was and I was stable that they invited me back um to do the wedding events and I love that even more. Um even though it was just busting tables for bigger events, I I loved weddings and Well, yeah. If I ever party, anytime I host a party, I'm on it because I I've been hosting parties since I was a teenager. It was just at the country club. Yeah. Just being around that atmosphere where everybody's in a pretty good mood, everybody's dancing, there's music. Yeah, I could see that being Hopefully, I could see that being a fun thing. Sally, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. All right, so uh the reason we're talking about this is it's making news how on January 1st, among whatever other new laws are coming way, uh our way in New Jersey, the minimum wage is going up to almost, not quite, but almost $16 an hour on January 1st. Most people's first jobs were probably minimum wage. So, we're talking about what your very, very first job was. What was yours? 1800 283101.5. Detective, I've solved many mysteries. New Jersey 101.5. Now, we're not saying the song is ready yet, but coming up out of the 3:00 news, we're going to check in with Ashley Matthews. She's the director of Coral Activities at Hillsboro High School, and these are the kids, the Legacy uh show choir. These are the kids that are going to be putting together this year's 12 Days of Jersey for So exciting. I know. I know. No pressure, kids. And I never talked to her. I know you have been texting her for some time. I never talked to her, but she s she just sounds like a great teacher and she's gotten very high praise. You know, she's even had articles written about her. Really? Yeah. Yeah, cuz I looked her name up. Did I do this? No. No. No. But you probably could. You know how we forget what we write about immediately? I know. I know. We even forget what we've talked about. No, but like patch.com had like done a write up on her like how much the kids love her and everything. Oh, wow. Oh, her right. I know. I know. So, anyway, we'll talk to her. Uh, we have our end of the week game tonight in the six o'clock hour. Right now, we're asking you what your very first job was. Kevin in Saucus here on New Jersey 101.5. Hey. Yeah. Hello. How you doing? Hey, what's up? Good. Good. Um, yeah, my first job was in 2000. I was 14 years old and I was a dishwasher at a dive bar/rest. I love I was about to say Jeff is here for this. He is seated. Oh, I love a good dive bar and that you were 13 and working in one. Oh, I bet you that was more education than you ever got at school. Well, you know, going to school all day and then coming home doing homework and then like washing dishes, like I hated it. So, uh it may have been an education. It was under the table. It was like $5 an hour. I did it for about two months and then I bailed. Okay. But in those couple of months though, there were probably like there were probably interactions between people that you saw and like that's the kind of education I mean like like most 13year-olds don't don't have an eye on a dive bar and what goes on in there. Uh yeah, it certainly uh got some dirt in my eye and I met the salt of the earth people and uh gave me a little some insight. But uh yeah, it gave me it made me a people person and you know I kind of started at the bottom like young. So as I got older and got better jobs, you know, nice. I I I understood how to uh put a put a good honest shift in. What could I ask what you do now? And if you don't want to say that's fine. Um I work uh security for the New York Giants actually. What? No kidding. Well, at a training facility. I I don't go good at the games or anything. I don't care. Yeah. I don't know why you thought that made it any less impressive. In a weird way, it's almost more impressive because like that's even rarer probably to see that. That's very cool. Oh my god, I love this. See, great place. See kids starting a dive bar. That's what you got to do in life. That's a lesson, right, Kevin? Wow. Have a great weekend. Thank you so much for calling New Jersey 101.5. I love that. Uh, Mike in Jackson, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey. Hey. My first job was my first paid job that I actually had to get a social security number for cuz I didn't have one. Yeah. Was uh Great Adventure. Oh. Oh. What did you do? Uh, I worked food service and Ice House from 1980 to 19 or 19 late 1979 80. Yeah. Till till 83. Okay. Was it a And they gave us 3 335 an hour and if we had hazardous work, they gave you an extra dime. You didn't work with a Gary Moore, did you? What's that? You didn't work with a Gary Moore, did you? Gary Moore? No, I don't think so. Oh, my dad worked at Great Adventure. That would have been a fun reunion. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. But it was it was pretty it was a great job. I mean, but you'd work all week and between New Jersey taxes, you'd work 40 hours and go home with $90. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. But I'm sure it was fun. There's probably It was probably fun because there's like a lot of other kids around, right? It was a Everybody in Jackson, Freehold, Tom Driver, everybody worked there and you knew everybody. Okay. Is it Is it true because our our co-orker Steve Tre Chevalles also worked at Great Adventure. Is it true that things got a little um runchy after hours? Sometimes. Sometimes. Sometimes. I did work at October Fest. Okay. Because it's true that they would bring in like foreign students to work for summers and they would like That didn't happen back then. Oh, but it did happen. But not when you were there. No, no, no. Was today it was all high school students, right? And uh, of course they had um they had a system set up that if you were uh like 15 you had an orange tag and then if you were 16 or 17 you could go up to a yellow tag and then a black tag and then if you're a manager you got a red tag. And it was almost like they put the tags on there to keep people from the the black tags from messing around with the orange tags. Oh my god. Right, Mike. I could watch an entire documentary on this. Yeah. So, in other words, so in other words, Jeffrey Epstein could have used those tags. Yeah, I got you. I totally got you. I hear where you're going with it. Mike, you have stories. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. We're going to have a net news coming up in just under four minutes on New Jersey 101.5. Need bars. New Jersey chime. Time is 3:10 on this Friday afternoon. It is the Daminsky and more show. I'm Kylie Moore. And I'm Jeff Daminsky. Excuse me. I'm so sorry, boy. I'm ready for choir. Why? Yeah, how embarrassing. We're about to talk to the director of coral activities and I've got a frog in my throat. Oh man. Uh we we have Ashley Matthews, who is just that, the director of coral activities from Hillsboro High School uh on the line. Hey Ashley, how are you? Hey, I'm good. How are we doing? Hey, we're great. We're great. Now, the reason we're having you on, for those who did not catch it a few minutes before the news, uh you and your legacy show choir last year, you got the kids together after you heard us that we were putting together this 12 Days of Jersey parody song with the parody lyrics and everything and and and you had your kids do this masterful rendition and you recorded it and you sent it to us and we've played it and it was just outstanding. It was just so fun. It was so great. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. No, we're super excited. It was admittedly it was my uh my boss's idea. So Chris is our supervisor. Yeah. He he's he's not paying me, but he's the world's best boss, I'll tell you. Right. Um he came up with the idea. He had heard the announcement about it last year and said, "Why don't you reach out?" And I said, "You know what? What's the worst they say?" No. Um Oh, are you kidding? Oh, no. I mean, it's great that you guys volunteered to do that. And um now now the kids that did this last year, were they mostly seniors, some juniors? They were a pretty even split. This year we are Yeah. So this year we have 25 total kids in the ensemble. Wow. And I would say about 12 of them this year are seniors. Um, and what's been really fun with the the lyrics for this year is part of our curriculum is uh like impro uh improvisation and composition, which is something we don't often do because, you know, I pick the repertoire and then they sort of learn it and we polish it and get it concert ready. This has been more of a collaborative effort between me and the kids. So, some of them, some of the lyrics are really hitting hard like the plane's not flying. We had a lot of issues with kids not getting back after teacher convention. See? Okay. So, right. So, so they were living what is the Jersey nightmare. So, they could really emote. They can emote when they're doing this song. Now, now we apologize for the line last year. Kylie, do you want to address this? I think a woman should address this, not a man. Okay. I was about to say the lyrics. Kylie, help me out here. The lyrics this year are fine. Correct. Like last year, we gave you the uh I think it was Seven Strippers Stripping, but we didn't know. Okay. In our defense, we didn't know that we were going to get this offer from a high school, you know, you guys changed it to, I believe it was uh Tanza spraying, which is which is honestly better. It was actually a better line. Tanzaying is so Jersey. It was dying. Yeah, we were dying because, you know, I said to my boss, I was like, I'm tenured, but uh that feels a little a little dicey. So, yeah. Really? Yeah. You're Yeah. With your boss, you're you're like, "What did you ask me to get into?" Yeah. Now, now, now the the lyrics this year, it's like uh 12 Planes Not Flying, 11 Drivers raging, 10 films of filming. Uh we've got fires burning, eight years of Murphy, seven slices folded, six left lane losers. Did you like the five big sink holes? Because last year instead of five golden rings, we did five mystery drones because that was so huge in the news, but we also had those big sinkholes taking out highways. What did that work with what you're doing with the song this year? Could you get that same harmony going? Yeah. So, we we've kind of, like I said, worked together to figure out we're we call it text painting and word play. So, like the drivers raging, we've got a kid yelling, "I'm walking here." in the back a little bit. And then, um, I'm very excited. Um, and then for the slices folded, they do this like uh cascading vocal line. So, it sounds like the line is folding in on itself. And so, for sinkholes, one of the kids was like, I love this. Oh, thanks. You know, my my kids are really creative and funny and so we're just having fun with it with the sinkhold. We're uh I told them that you loved the the big cut off on that. So, we were like we have to do something fun and dramatic. So, we're going to do some sort of like slide down where it sounds like we're sinking into the holes ourselves. So, you have to stay tuned. Hopefully, you like it just as much as last year. I can't wait to Why am I tearing up? Yeah. Oh my god, you're so cute. This is so nice of you that you're doing this. And I promise you, as soon as we get it, we will play the heck out of this thing. Um when like what kind of rehearsals go into this? Right. So we rehearse during the school day. Um so I see the kids for 50 minutes every day. So we're actually in preparation for our winter coral concert right now. So part of the rehearsal process. All right. Right. So part of the rehearsal process is getting ready for that and then the other half is kind of workshopping this and um you know seeing what works and what doesn't. It's a lot of we call it like uh trial by fire just like going for it and then being like, "Oh, okay. Does this work? Does it not?" So, um they've been really having a great time with learning it. So, I'm excited to hopefully get that finished product to you guys early next week. Oh, that would be great. Excellent. Oh, that would be great if Yeah. I mean, obviously we want it, you know, you won't let us have it unless it's good, not fast, obviously. But yeah, early next week would be fantastic because uh yeah, then we would have like a week and a half to play it for uh you know what, who's ever on because we go on vacation the actual week of Christmas. Uh we should leave it for whoever is subbing and filling in. I believe that's Trev. Yeah. Oh, Trev would play it. Oh, Trev would absolutely play it. Yeah, that would be awesome. But of course, then you're going to have to go on his show 14 times in 2026. And you better have hard takes about Italian food. That's right. Right. Yeah. Yeah. You have no idea what we're getting you into with with Trent playing this song. I know. This is fantastic. And by the way, um, how long have you been doing this? So, I've been, this is my 10th year teaching, but I've been the director here for the last six years. So, I got hired during co and we've just been trying to breathe life. Yeah. Yeah. It's exactly that reaction. you know, breathe life into the program, just really grow it into a a really beautiful community. And um I'm I'm one of those really lucky ones that I've got great admin, I've got great kids, parents are awesome. You know, I I'm really really fortunate to be here. So, we're just having fun. Is there anything going on at Hillsboro High School? I mean, you mentioned the winter show. If you want to promote that a little bit here or anything else you want to promote on the on the air before we let you go. Yeah, thanks for asking. So, our winter concert um is free and it's next Thursday um at 7 PM. So, that's uh December 11th at 7 o'clock uh here at the high school. And then um you know, if you're feeling up for the holiday spirit, we have our annual Santa breakfast uh on that Saturday, the 13th, for families to come. And there's like singalongs and crafts. There's a there's going to be a visit from the big guy, which will be fun. Yeah. Um and then our performance for legacy. So they the show choir. So they perform um not just traditional coral rep but also their competition set. So last year their show was a Jersey themed show. So we had like Mambbo Italiano and some other really fun stuff in there. Um this year their show is all about ancestry and celebrating the awesome diversity that we have in our community and in New Jersey. Um, and so that show, our friends and family performance for that before we go off to competition is January 28th at 700 p.m. here at the high school. Very cool. Oh, that's so sweet. Ah, cool. Ashley, I'm so glad we got to talk to you. I can't wait to hear what you guys do with this. Yeah, we're dying to hear this. Thank you so much. Yeah, please. Thank you. Yeah, we're we're having a great time. Yeah, please say thanks to the kids. I absolutely will. I absolutely will. Okay. Ashley Matthews, the director of coral activities from Hillsboro High School. Appreciate it. Thank you, Ashley. Thank you so much. Have a great weekend. Oh, this is going to be fun when we hear this is going to be fun when we hear this. All right, we have something uh concerning Christmas to actually get your opinion on. That is coming up. New Jersey 101.5 319. Here's Fast Traffic. Small Business Salute goes out to Uncle 324 with Jeff Deinsky and Kylie Moore. Annette's news coming up in six minutes. And I want to give another thank you to Ashley Matthews for joining us. She's the um director of coral activities is her official title at Hillsboro High School and they're helping us out with 12 Days of Jersey. I cannot wait. Yeah. Yeah. It's a song that uh most of the lyrics you guys helped us write. So this is like a totally fun collaborative effort and uh it's got a lot of things that happen during the year like instead of a partridge in a pear tree, it's a new governor Mikey and a new governor. Governor Mikey. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. And you know what I like about that? Whether you voted for her or not, it doesn't matter. You could you could regard that line as like a celebratory or like h here we go again. Like either way it works. Yeah. Cuz I mean I'm certainly not celebrating a partridge in a pear tree. Like the line doesn't necessarily mean I'm happy about it. Exactly. Like a lot of the lines are okay. Like five big sink holes. Nobody's happy about that either. I can't wait for the harmony. I can't wait for the harmony. I know. I know. Uh, you know, I love a harmony. And and those added little things that she's talking about how they're throwing them in like, "Oh, I wonder what that's going to sound like. I can't wait. That's going to be fun." All right. So, with Christmas upon us, I noticed a story, and I had forgotten that Amazon did this. But, as soon as I saw the story, I was like, "Oh, yeah. They were doing that last year. They are bringing back um a way to tip your Amazon delivery driver that doesn't cost you anything." And so, that's pretty tempting. You could do something nice for somebody and Amazon actually gives them the $5, not you. Um, but it's a thank my driver program. And what they do, you could do this a couple different ways, which I'll tell you at the end here, but if you want to thank whatever Amazon delivery driver deliver, it would it would go towards your last uh order, whoever that driver was the last time that they dropped something to your house, right? you want to give them a $5, you know, Christmas tip, so to speak. It's funded by Amazon and and they stop once they get to 2 million total thank yous submitted by customers. Okay? So, it would be what? $10 million, but they are paying it. You don't pay it. What you would do, you could use an Alexa to do this. You would just say, "Alexa, we don't have an Alexa in the room, do we?" Uh cuz cuz cuz if we do some driver's going to get a tip. Alexa, thank my driver. You just say that to uh your Alexa enabled device. Um or you could use the Amazon app or the Amazon website and then just search for thank my driver and then just like put in very little information and then bam, uh they get a $5 tip. But you don't pay for it, which is kind of nice. But I want to ask about the ones you do pay for. It's that time of year that good or bad, you're happy to do it or you feel obligated to do it, a lot of people are expecting a tip. There are certain jobs more than others that are expecting one, but I feel like every year that goes by, I feel like that list gets a little bit longer. I want to know who do you give a Christmas tip to? How do you decide that? How do you decide how much to tip at the holidays? 1 800 283101.5. Do you have one of those jobs where you're the one getting the tip? Aren't there certain jobs you're not supposed to tip? Like mail carriers? Yeah. The only one I know is Right. mail carriers for the uh United States Postal Service, but me, but people kind of Yeah, they just do it. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of us do it anyway, right? Like they say, "Oh, oops. You got a bottle of wine." Well, well, they say Yeah. See, they say it should be nonmonetary, but a lot of us are just sticking some cash in an envelope. I mean, come on. Who's going to know? And and you know why I have a soft spot in my heart for that? Of course, right? My dad was a letter carrier. Uh that that's the whole time that I knew him. That's how he raised me. That's how he got his money was being a letter carrier. And I swear to God, we never had a lot. Uh, so he used to flat out tell me, "If I didn't get Christmas tips, you kids wouldn't have presents." Wow. It's like, "Okay, Dad, you better do a good job out there then." Yeah, that's what he told me once. That That's how he got the Christmas uh toy present. I mean, wait, the money the Christmas toy money was from his Christmas tips. Well, I see where you get your honesty from. What do you mean? Your father. Oh, my bluntness. Yes. I'm nothing if not blunt. Uh but then it's like, you know, the person who cuts your hair, are you tipping them extra? Uh the the person who does work around your house, if you've got a guy that does the lawn every week or a company that does the lawn, are you giving them tips? Who exactly are you giving Christmas tips to? And how do you decide how much to give? Now, I'm in this weird situation where I just moved to a place unlike I have lived for years. For years, I've either rented or then before that owned um single family homes. Mhm. Now I'm back in a place cuz like my older kids are out. I just wanted to downsize. I'm back in a place where it's like a community setting. I don't have a particular mailman who comes right to my door. He delivers mail or she, I don't know who it is, uh to one of those big boxes that you got to walk across the compound to get to, you know. So I don't know who my mail person is. They don't come straight to my door. Same thing with garbage uh uh collection. I used to always tip the garbage guy. Now it's just some company that the complex has come and get the dumpster. I don't have to tip that person, you know. Yeah. So like my list of people to tip seems to have like, you know, shrunk very very quickly. But it's also complex. What do you mean? Do do you give something to the male person? Yeah. Well, that's true, right? Like the garbage guys know because I mean I I it's it's community garbage, but right, they're still they're still giving me my mail, but like I will never meet them. I will never see them. It's halfway across the lawn. Hence the complexity, right? I don't know if you're supposed to give that person a tip, right? It's like they're literally putting about maybe 80 apartments all at once into that big big row of boxes. Do you do you tip a mailman in that scenario? I don't know. I've got nothing for you. Maybe others can help us out. Right. I have no idea. So, when it comes to Christmas tips, what do you give and who do you give to? 1800 283101.5. Progressive and bundle your home at auto. You could Okay, Kylie. Ways I, Jeff Daminsky, save money on Christmas tips at the holidays. Ways I save money, people I don't have to give Christmas tips to because I don't have them. Uh, personal trainer. Yep. That cost me nothing for obvious reasons. Okay. Uh stylist. Yep. I don't don't have one. And uh clearly a life coach. Don't have one. I am saving so much money right there. Oh, good for you. I know. I know. But who are you giving a Christmas tip to? 1800283101.5. Mike in Pennsylvania, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey, you got it. Can you hear me yet? Yeah, you're good. Yeah, Mike, you're good. You're good. Welcome, Mike. Okay. As I was about to say, I make sure I give tips to our weather carrier. Uh, I make sure I always tip my neighbors that take care of our lawn. Uh, when we go out to restaurants, I have regular people that our regular stops, I should say. I always tip. I'm an over tipper. I like to tip well. As long as I have uh people with a good demeanor, people that give you good service, you know, you you show your appreciation. Yeah. If you can afford it, it makes you feel good. It makes you feel good to have that camaraderie. Yeah. And just sometimes there uh like my wife works for a church for 40 years and we know people sometime that are in need and you know, we'll go out of our way to to help them with something. Uh, so like uh like do you ever tip the reverend? Uh, absolutely not. He gets you enough. No, no, don't tip the Yeah. I mean, like maybe he could put in a good word for you. You know, you get to the pearly gates. He gets you like, you know, it's like a flash pass. He gets you up in line faster, right? Yeah. Generally through the church though, it goes out to people that need it, you know. No, I know. I'm just kidding. the reverend street. They usually give most of their money to somebody else. What would you give to say a mailman? Like, well, I I always thought a $20 bill was That's nice. That's generous. That was good. Yeah. But you know what's tough so tough nowadays? For the past couple years, you don't get a regular letter carrier anymore. I know. Every couple weeks it's someone else. And people that I'm not trying to be rude. People that don't speak English, don't know how to read, write, or spell. I get the wrong I've been getting the wrong mail at my house for 26 years. Oh my god. Yeah, that I know exactly what you mean. And that's when it's harder to give that tip. I totally get it that the last place I lived, I was always getting the mail confused and it was often not the same carrier. So yeah, I I totally get it. Mike, we appreciate your input. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Juan from Bridgewater. Hey, Juan. What's up? Hey, Jeffrey. How are you guys? Hey, we're good. Hey, Wanie. Let me make Let me make sure I'm safe first. Yeah. Don't get pulled over again. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That was so cute, though. Uh, your little girl got a uh feel better bear, huh? Teddy bear. Yeah, I still have it in the back of the car just in case I get pulled over again. A No, don't do that cuz then they'll know that you get pulled over all the time. Oh, true. Well, yeah. Frenchburg. They love me. All right. So, what about uh what about Christmas tips? I I must be the worst person in the world because I don't tip. I mean, I my mailman just drives by in a little heated car and drops my mail. Oh, he's not walking up to the house. Okay. No, I don't have any. It's at the curb. Yep. I get it. Yeah. And the garbage man I paid is private. So, who am I going to go give? And the only people I actually tip or give a gift to is the uh bus driver that takes my kids to and from school. That's it. Oh, now. Okay. How much do you give, May I ask? Because I always struggle with what to tip the bus driver. What is a good holiday tip for a bus driver in your opinion? That's the thing. We don't give them money. We give them a gift like a you know, like uh something that you know, you know, the kids know that bus driver so well that they know what the bus driver likes. So sometimes maybe we give them like a gift card or or like a cool thing that you know, like a coffee mug, something that's usable, you know? Yeah. Stuff like that. Yeah, I like those. I like the practice going by me. Are there are there bus aids on there as well? Do you tip those? No, there's no fast. It's just the bus. Okay. Yeah. See, cuz my kids, my young kids, they're special needs kids. Exactly. Right. So now I'm like tip. Oh my god. I'm like handing out cuz each one has an aid and then there's the bus driver. That's three Christmas tips right there. Well, my brother-in-law, we do that because he's he's the autistic one. So, we do have to give the aid, you know, an extra something. Yeah. Yeah. You know, all right. Well, you're Well, you're you're spreading the holiday cheer to the bus people at least. Yeah. Somebody, right? But the race, I'm sorry. I I what I was saying to uh uh your uh um uh to Julia. Julia. Yeah. Julia. Julia. Yeah. You know, to me, I mean, uh garbage men and uh mailman, they get paid pretty well for the services they provide, you know. I mean, you you're picking up garbage for the love of God. I'm sure you didn't pay a good salary to do such a disgusting job, you know. Yeah, I know. Letter carrier. Okay. When my dad did it, they weren't all that well paid until they had a major national strike then letter carriers starting to get better pay. But for a long time when I was a kid, my dad, they didn't really make good money. But no, you're right. They make better money now. And their benefits are ridiculous. Oh my god. Like the paid time off my dad would get, oh my god, like eight weeks a year or something. Oh. God, good for him, right? Juan, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Drive safe. We're talking about Christmas tips. Who do you give to? 1800 283101.5. Minsky and at PJ Fitzpatrick. 352 with Jeff Dinsky and Kylie Moore. We're going to have Aaron votes news in 8 minutes. It's the holiday season. We want to know who you're tipping and how much. How do you How do you decide it? 1 800283101.5. Uh Jason in Ringo, you're in New Jersey. 101.5. Hey guys. So, um, Thanksgiving I lost water. Uh, we had no water at all. Just shut off all of a sudden and I called the well company that's local to us and they came over. This young kid came in. He was super sweet to my my kids and he fixed it. He's like, "It's temporary. You need a new pump." And I was like, "Okay." I was like, "How much is that?" And he told me, I'm like, "I can't afford that right now." You know, Christmas is coming. And so I tipped him 10 bucks and I said, "Thank you so much." He goes, "Listen, it's only going to last a week or two, maybe three weeks at most." And then the following Monday, I got a call from him and he's like, "Somebody called and said uh they're replacing the entire well on their expense." Secret Santa. Oh, no kidding. Oh, wow. Yep. I I tipped him $10 because I felt bad. So, it was Friday morning after Thanksgiving and I felt really bad and I was like, "Here, you know, get get a beer, you know, and um he calling back the following Monday and was like, hey, somebody uh Secret Santa called and uh we're going to replace everything for free." You got a free pump. Yep. Yep. You know, somebody pumps me for free. I want a name. I want to know this. No, I'm just saying. You wouldn't tell me. They would They would not tell me who it was. Yep. Yep. So, like karma coming back, you know, like I felt bad. I I tipped him and I'm not a big tipper. Yeah. You know, I'll tip for like waitresses and you know, right? You know, I I I tried tipping my gar I man, he refused, but um you know, I tipped this kid and and next thing you know, four days later, um I got a phone call for a free well pump and uh that's great. Yeah. Oh, that's good for you. What a sweet story, Jason. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Francine in Long Branch, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hi. How are you? Hey. Hi. Um, I tipped the mail carrier. Um, I figure he's out there in the rain and the snow even though I live in a condo complex and Okay. Yeah. And then also the maintenance guy from the condo complex cuz, you know, he keeps it clean and it's very nice. And then also every morning before I go to work, I stop at McDonald's. So I always tip because it's always the same girl who's there. So I always tip her like at Christmas, Thanksgiving. Oh, really? Yeah. I mean, that's nice. I'm not knocking it, but I I didn't know anybody tipped, you know, somebody at the window at a drive-thru. Huh. Yeah. Well, I figured, you know, she serves me every morning, so you know what I mean. I don't even have to tell her what kind of coffee I want. She already knows. So, I appreciate that. Right. Right. Yeah. And And does she actually does she say that this is a unique experience? Like, are you the only one who tips her or does she say that that's kind of a regular thing if you've talked about it? Um, no. She just says, "Thank you so much." And she's so grateful. Yeah. Yeah. So, it, you know, it makes me feel good. A Yeah, I I I bet it's fairly unique. Yeah, I bet not a lot of customers do that. No, that's that's very kind of you. That's awesome, Francine. Thank you so much for calling New Jersey 101.5. Stay with us for Aaron's News coming up. Man, I love my kids so much. New Jersey time. It is 410. It is a Friday. We are Deky and more. I don't know what I'm doing. I'm Jeff. I'm following your lead. Yeah, I don't know. To quote the Gilmore Girls theme song, where you lead, I will follow. Having a seizure or something. I will just end every word like this. And I'm Kylie Moore. She's the normal one. 1800283101.5. Yeah, it's a Friday. We're in the holiday season. Uh we're going to be giving away prizes in the 6:00 hour. Oh. Oh. Oh. Couple of other things. First, we do have our end of the week game. We'll give away lottery tickets in the 6:00 hour. We're going to play and what would Kylie do? Also, though, at some point, and I'll be delicate with it. I I'll be delicate with it. But, you know, there's always these end of the year lists, right? Mhm. Never saw a list like this before. I will share just this will just be a brief thing. At some point, I will share with you the five most Googled sex questions of 20. The five most googled sex questions of 2025. I swear to God, someone trapped it here. I thought you were gonna go with cuz I was hearing in uh Rick's news earlier that like the most googled uh the trends this year were like Charlie Kirk Leoos. Oh no, I thought you were going there. Boring. That's boring. This is the good stuff. This is the five This is the five most turning into Homer Simpson. The five most googled sex questions of 2025. Will it hurt? No, that's probably the pregnancy questions. Will it fit? Oh, stop. I was just quoting one of the games that we used to do. I know. I know what you were doing, but still. If you thought anything else, that's on you. Okay. Oh my gosh. And and also um I did a little research about um you know that magical elf that sits on a shelf and reports back to Santa. Of course. Right. Yeah. I did a little research about uh this magical elf that sits on the shelf and reports back to Santa. And I would like to talk to parents about this later on for any times maybe something, you know, went ary with uh with that magical elf for research purposes. Right. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Right. We'll we'll talk about that later as well. All right. So, in the meantime, our phone number is 1 800 283101.5. Um there was a recall and um Levi Putney actually had this in his news uh the other day and I read more about this uh from USA Today. This is like a national thing. Shredded cheeses sold in a lot. What? Now it's personal. Oh. Oh, yeah. You're a big cheese girl, aren't you? I am a big cheese girl. Does your family I remember years ago you told me your family has a dedicated cheese drawer in the fridge. You don't? No, not now. Julia, do you? Okay, Julia does. I'm not weird. No, that was my That was my That was my ex. I I I don't I I I don't have a dedicated drawer. No, you're missing out. All right, so there was a there was a shredded cheese recall. It was all these shredded cheeses that were sold in places like Walmart, Target, etc. Um, if you just go, honest to God, it is such a long list. I couldn't possibly go through it. If you just Google shredded cheese recall, uh, you you you will undoubtedly find this, but it's also on USA Today if that helps. Um, so anyway, more than a million bags of cheese, 900,000 of which came from Kylie's cheese drawer, um, that were sold at these popular places have been recalled because of a possibility of containing metal pieces. It's like, all right, I'm so over this whole food tampering thing. So, there's some metal pieces you could you could easily and they say, of course, you know, don't eat them, return them, do this, set them on fire, whatever. Uh, you know, like so so they're warning everybody and this is like been sold in like 31 separate states under a variety of brand names, Good and Gather, Great Value, Sprouts, blah blah blah blah blah. All right, whatever. If you just have a couple of metal pieces in your shredded cheese, I'm not saying not to look through it, but can't you just easily like pour that into a bowl, move your move your, you know, move the cheese around with your fingers and realize like, okay, mine's good. I don't have any metal here. And then you use the cheese. But should I mean what I'm saying is people get I I feel like people get a little bit carried away with panicking when they find something in their food. Like if it's a live bug crawling through your food, okay, then you don't eat it. But like the time that I found a piece of sharp glass in my it in my beer and it went into my mouth and like I had to take it literally this shard of glass out of my mouth. I didn't complain about it. I was just like, "Could you get me another beer? This one has a piece of glass in it." And the bartender got me another beer. And that was it. I wasn't going to go like lawyer up. I wasn't gonna go like, "I want an appetizer for free." I'm not going to do that. Now, had it been something like a dead mouse in the bottle. Well, then yeah, now I want my appetizer. Would you have accepted the appetizer? Um, had they just said like, "We're so sorry, sir. Here, have this on us." Uh, yeah. Why not? Yeah. I' I'd have accepted it. Okay. So, you Okay, so you'll accept it. You just wouldn't be seeking it out. Oh, I wouldn't be Yeah. Like I wouldn't be like like asking for it. Okay. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? I don't know. If I'm getting glass in my mouth, I'm going to be like, "Do you guys have Bavarian pretzels here?" You're going to be angling. You're going to be like, "How do I parlay the glass shard out of my mouth?" Out of curiosity, are your nachos made with just the pre-melted cheese or real shredded cheese? Oh. Oh, back to the cheese drawer. Are we all right? So, we want to hear your founding food stories and no names of restaurants. Oh, oh, oh, that's very, very important. Yeah, yeah, do not do not give any. And you know why? Because, honest to God, it happens at so many places and it's so often just like a one-time thing. Usually, it's nothing that was, you know, meant or sinister or targeted. And right, I mean this could happen in almost any restaurant, even like fivestar restaurants, right? So don't give the name of a place. And what I always like to point out is don't be cutesy about it. Yeah. Don't say, "I was at the place with the golden arches," right? Or the burger royalty. Yeah. Like like don't don't even do that. Uh because we'll just like cuz we won't end up taking the call on the air. So have you been through that though? Were you uh were you Oh, and also another thing, it doesn't have to be from a restaurant. It could just be from like a store bought a storebought product like this cheese recall. This is a store-bought thing that you bring home. Either that or from a restaurant. Did you ever find something in your food that wasn't supposed to be there? And was it that big of a thing? How nasty was it? How'd you handle it? Yeah, cuz I feel like Kylie and I are in different universes the way we handle this. Like I would even eat something probably that had a band-aid in it. I know. I know. If I'm not seeing like a lot of blood, I I think I'm probably just going to like eat around with it. Hold on. What counts as a lot of blood? What are you talking about? That you even had to clarify the the amount like you know how like a typical band-aid there'll be like maybe um how would I put it? like maybe only like uh 5% a little tiny drop in the very center which is normal but you immediately clotted versus like a band-aid that is soaked through with blood and 90% of the white is all like red now dark brown cuz it's dried but there also might be like yellowish brown in there because maybe there was like some infected material. I'm sorry I asked. I'm sorry I asked. Well, but you did and I'm answering you. Okay. like like if it looked like there was like you know like an infection in the blood then then no I'm then I'm not going to eat around it. But if it's just like come on some somebody just cut their finger they're like what are the odds are really going to transmit a disease to me if I eat five inches to the left and just have the left side of the lasagna. You know what I'm saying? All right. 1800 283 101.5. It's 419. Here's fast traffic. Joe Henry. Listen to this. New Jersey 101.5 news coming up in about five and a half minutes. It's uh 4:24 and uh yeah, we want to hear your stories about finding something in your food, whether it was a storebought item you brought it home, whether it was out in a restaurant. Just please don't give names of places or brands. Um, but you could tell us, you know, what the thing was that you found and did it freak you out to the point that you even brought it up. Could you never go back to the place? Did you get any uh any justice out of it? 1800 283101.5. Calling in from Chattam. Dan, you're on New Jersey 101.5. How you doing, friends? Hey, Dan. We're good. What's going on? Happy Friday. Yeah, I got a cheese story for you, Kylie. So, you buckle up there, kiddo. Oh, no. Dan ruins cheese for Kylie forever. Never. Here we go. So, so I'm I'm a kid. My mom's trying to make chicken paw. This is like the '9s, you know. And she cuts into a block of mozzarella and out pops a rubber gasket or something like that from the factory, I suppose. Oh. Um, she init she initially thinks it's like in the center of the block, you know, and she initially thinks it's like a snake or something like something crazy. Uh, so she flips out um and then uh looks on the back of the package, finds the uh the customer service line, uh calls them and goes, "I got something that doesn't belong." And uh they were like super apologetic. Uh she mails the the rubber thing back to the to the customer service or whatever, and then they mail us a bunch of uh you know, factor uh manufacturer coupons for free cheese. Um, which was counterintuit which was counterintuitive because you know like I we just had this tainted product. Do we really want more of it? You always do wonder about that. Yes. Yeah. So so it was a very it was a very odd proposition but we had more more mozzarella than than what we could do with for for weeks. It was it was it was got very fat. You look like a I'm sorry Kyler. I was going to say so there was a happy ending. Yeah. I suppose the the the other cheese didn't have rubber, so that was that was good. Um but but yeah, you know, but it it was a lot of cheese. The original cheese block, did she not use it or did she just eat around the rubber gasket? She was trying to make chicken parm, so she pul pulled it out of the package and cut into the center of it to make slices. And so when she sliced into the center of it, this this rubber piece just popped out. And it look she she the the shriek from the kitchen when I was in the other room was was hysterical. So So did she not make it that night or did she use some of the cheese? No. No. We we we we abandoned that. I think we got McDonald's. I was I was going to say that sounds like a Domino's night to me. See, come on. Just like use the ends of the cheese, you know? Like you eyeball it up. Like if the gasket's about 3 in and the block of cheese is about 9 in, get rid of the middle three. Use the left three. Use the right three inches. I don't know. Ah, please. Dan, I'm with your mom. Thank you for calling New Jersey 10 a 1.5. You know what this is like? It's a weird comparison, but it's almost like when you have your first kid, how like germ conscious you are and everything and by the time you have like I've got four kids, it's like ah 20our rule off the floor. Go ahead. It's not going to kill them. God, it's a it's a little adjacent to that. Cheese was meant to be green. Just have some. Who cares? Exactly. Exactly. Jim and Freehold, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey, Jim. Hey, guys. Happy Friday. Same to you. You, too. All right. So, I was in a restaurant with my family on vacation in North Carolina. High-end steak place. I'm 3/4 of the way through my steak. It's delicious and I'm really enjoying it. and my side, which was like potatoes with like hash brown potatoes with sauteed onions in it. And I scoop up a thing of potato and what I think is an onion. And I shove it in my mouth and I'm like, "Wow, this is a rubbery onion." So it was a rubber band basically in my side. Oh. And you're chewing and chewing and wondering, "Why is this not breaking down?" And then you realized why. Exactly. So I take it out and I'm like and it was the rubber band from like uh you know like you get a thing of broccoli rob and there's like a rubber band around it. Exactly what Yeah, I can picture it. It wasn't like an office rubber band or anything. It was it was definitely a So I you know I'm like h you know the steak was awesome. The food was really good. We were all having a really So I just called the waiter over. I said hey listen I just want to point this out that it's here. And the guy's like okay. And he looked at me. He goes, "But you ate 3/4 of your meal already." And I'm like, "I'm not trying to tell you I it's there's a major problem here. I'm just pointing it out." Right. So that you could keep an eye out for other people. I could have eaten 99% of it. There could still be a rubber band in it. Yeah. Right. Exactly. Right. So, and the manager comes out and he's like, he's like, "What do you want us to do?" And I'm like, "Oh my god, I'm not asking you to do anything." Right. You're just trying to warn them for the other customers that they should keep an eye out for. Yeah. Well, no, I I totally get what you were doing. That's weird. What a poor reaction on their part, right? Wow. Oof. Jim, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Have a great weekend. It's almost like they're acting like what? You trying to shake us down? You trying to shake us down, man? It's even pointing out, oh, well, you already ate some of it. Okay, that's how I found out there was a rubber band. It's like just thought you might want to know for, you know, 40 minutes from now with another customer that you could keep an eye out so it doesn't go on their plate. That's wild, right? All right. You know those uh pre-w those pre-done salad like bags you get in the store? Oh, absolutely. Well, Yep. Yeah. Well, my wife always washes them and stuff and you know, I'm a guy. I throw it in the bowl and go to town, right? Yep. Well, so I think at at this point we had used half the bag that I hadn't washed and I'm like in the living room or something and she's got it in the colander washing and I hear a scream come from the kitchen. You know what a salamander is? Yeah. The the lizard. Yeah. Well, from from like the the front legs on up, she finds in the the the uh salad that she watched. So, I don't know what happened to the other half of the salamander, but um Well, they already ate half the bag. Where What do you think happened to it? You ate it, you doofus. So, we did send the manufacturer a letter and they sent like us a couple of bags of the the the salad. But yeah, that's my story, man. I'll never I got pictures of it. I'll never forget it. Okay. Now, no. I'm going to draw the line at half an animal. If half an animal is in my food, I'm not eating around it. And I actually am calling the company. Yes. Okay. I'm not totally nuts. I feel a little better. Yeah. I'm not as manly as that guy. Sure. I'm no Steve. Shirley in Tom's River, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hi guys. How you doing? Good. Hey Shirley, happy holidays to you. Happy holidays to you. Well, I got two orders of pasta from a local restaurant and took them home, began to eat one of them myself, and there was a I got it in my mouth a razor blade. Whoa. Oh my god. Like a full intact exactly what most people would think of as a razor blade. Like the entire thing. Well, it was like like the one edge of a of a razor blade. One edge. So it was like broken in half. Yes. So I called the restaurant and I explained to the manager what I had in my food and he said to me, "That's impossible." And I said, "Okay." Well, I said, "I will put it in an envelope and I will bring it to you." So the next day I took it to the restaurant and the guy said, the manager said to me, "Oh my god." He said, "That's off of our automatic vegetable cutter." Oh, well, you know, at least he admitted it. True. Yes, he did. And he said to me, "I'm so sorry, you know, that I treated you, you know, badly." He I didn't think that we would have anything that had a razor blade, but right. He just wasn't thinking of that one. Wow. So, did he um did he do anything for you? Did he like give you money? Did he do anything? He offered me uh two dinners, but I I refused. I said, "No." I said, "I just wanted to bring it to your attention." Yeah. Cuz you're Because I don't want that to happen to somebody else. Right. which is kind of you and plus right and he's implying that you were making it up. Yeah, that's admirable of you. Shirley, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Have a great weekend. You know, though I feel like it's also admirable of him to take it back, you know, like like right, he should have maybe been more open-minded when the phone call came in, but he could have just stuck to his guns out of embarrassment, but he didn't. He admitted it and he apologized for treating her that way. So, I got to give it to both of them. And he even said where it was from. He could have been like, "Oh, sure. Maybe." Right. But he was like, "No, that this is exactly where this is. This is ours." Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Nacho on the turnpike. You're on New Jersey 101.5. I just Hello. How you doing? Hey, we're good. I found you guys are great. You guys The show is incredible. Oh, thank you. Fantastic. We appreciate you. Yeah. Yeah. I I you know I I ordered takeout food from a Asian uh place. Yeah. And and when I you know I was eating the rice, the fried rice, I I found a you know a fly. Oh. Alive or dead? It was dead because I don't know if it got fried or or you know it it suffocated in there or something. I don't know. So did you tell the restaurant? You know, I just No, I just I just I just flicked it off. I did what Jeff did. Now, you sure take it off, push it out of there, and you know, and I I I scoop a little bit of the rice out and that's it. I keep eating. Maybe they thought Maybe they thought you ordered fried rice instead of fried rice. Oh, boo. I mean, like, no. Like, you got your accent, they got their accent. Maybe it was just like a misunderstanding. I don't know. Now, did you ever go back, right? Did you ever go back to that place? No, I Yeah, the food is fantastic. See, now you're my kind of guy. You're my kind of guy. You eat around it and you wet back for more. I like that kindred spirits, you two. Y Nacho, thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Have a nice night. All right, we're we're talking about founding food stories. Has it happened to you? 1800 283101.5. Do you have bad credit but need New Jersey 101.5? End of the week game is going to be in the six o'clock hour at 5:20 roughly. Uh we're going to be giving away uh the final code word for that Trans Siberian Orchestra prize package. Make sure you're listening for that. Enter that on the app. The end of an era. Yep. And uh Oh, and I've got a good challenge for you to do that voice. Oh, yes. I know. I'm so nervous. Oh, it's going to be good. All right. Right now, uh what is your founding food story? How did you handle it? Kyle in Trenton, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hello my my my sweets. Hello my little chickade. My sweets. Hello my little buttercup. Both of you have to stop or I'm leaving. Yeah, I know. Really? People are going to talk. My drive time. My drive time song birds. Um better. Oh yuck. All right. So what's your story you freak? So for like 10 years, like literally 10 years, I was a patron to a restaurant and I liked their wings and I got their wings a lot and it wasn't a chain or anything like that. It was just a really nice upper scale place and I bit down. I was like six wings into a good dozen and I bit down. There was a rock. What? There was a piece of gravel in the wing and it broke a piece of my moler off of my mouth. Oh, right there. Right then and there. It broke right in the restaurant. For context, were you eating outdoors or was this indoors? I understand it doesn't make it better, but I just need context here. Um, nonapplicable. I don't know what the hell. I was inside. I had a nice view of the river. Uh, why? Why? Yeah. Why? Why would that matter? Why did you ask him that? I'm curious. Cuz at least if you were outside, you'd be like, "Well, well, that's where rocks live." Oh, maybe I understand. And like maybe he picked it on like like maybe it fell off his hand, came off the table. All right. She she was trying to victim blame, but I I've got your I've got your back on this. Oh, so if I was outside, it would I would have been a victim of circumstance. All right. Telling my story to the compassionate Jeff Daminsky. So I bit down I broke Listen, this gets wild. I broke the tooth. I broke the tooth off. Put my toothpiece and the rock on the side of the plate. finished the wings and then went up and finished the wings. Of course I did. They were great. And I let them know what happened. They got the manager in touch with me and that place did every single thing they could to not pay for it or take responsibility. Wow. I had to go after him and they finally did. They repaired my tooth and all this other stuff. But um they made me sign like this big NDA and everything about like never telling anybody about it or anything. It was bad. You did it. You didn't You didn't give the name. You didn't give the name. So, we're fine. We're fine. Yeah. And they they closed about a year later. Yeah. Wow. Wow. All right. I'm going to push back on both of you. It's perfectly reasonable to ask if there were rocks outside. I'm I'm real quick. Real quick. Instead of tipping, I don't like tipping, but what I do is I do little things. I I've made a donation in your guys' name to Autism Speaks for Christmas. That's your tip. Oh my god. All right. Now, don't get me all choked up. I was about to make fun of you for the name of the show. I was about to make fun of you for finishing the wings with a broken mer. And now you tell me something that sweet because Kyle knows that I have two children on the spectrum. That is so sweet of you, bro. Thank you. Yep. Yeah. You're welcome. And you know, Christy works with him with him every day. I know. You're lovely bride to be. I know. Oh, thank you, man. I appreciate it, guys. You guys are really great for everybody. So, thank you so much for everything you do. That is the sweetest way to end a disgusting hour. Yeah, right. All right, Kyle, thank you. Thank you for calling Jersey 101.5. We're coming up. Coming up, I'm going to do it. Coming up after the news, the five most googled sex questions of 2025. I'm going to share them. What a what a whirlwind this has been. Erin's news coming up in a few minutes on New Jersey 101.5. Hy here. How is your New Jersey chime time? Is 510? We made it to the weekend, my friends. It is the Daminsky and More Show. I'm Kylie Moore and I'm Jeff Daminsky. Still to come, yes, one final chance to enter the code word when you hear it in roughly 10 minutes. Kylie will be giving this one and I will be trying to thwart her by forcing her in a prank to do it in a certain voice. That'll be uh that'll be coming up. Um and also we have our end of the week game. Oh, and that's for the Trans Siberian uh uh orchestra prize package. And uh coming up in the six o'clock hour, we have our end of the week game. All right. So, I promised I would do this and I'm going to be delicate with it. Okay. Um but actually, because of what we're about to talk about this hour anyway, maybe it would be probably better that uh you know, kids are ushered away. You know, kids are ushered away. But I'll be delicate here. So, you know, towards the uh end of the year, when you get to the month of December, you have all these different like lists. You have like, you know, the biggest news event of the year. Uh, you know, you have the top songs of the year. It's like kind of like a look back at the year, right? Somebody took it upon themselves to do the calculations on the five most googled sex questions of 2025. Oh Lord. [Music] Okay, I will have this done before even half the song is played. All right, you can just play this under it. That's fine. Um, I feel shy about this first one, but again, these are the most these are the five most googled sex questions of 2025. Uh, why do I bleed during it? Oh, yeah. Now, this could be uh this could be many many many many causes. many causes and uh or or uh you were with OJ. All right. One or the other. Mhm. All right. Here's another and I am not going to describe what this actually is. Um people were asking uh what gooning is. [Music] Now, why are you looking in there? You're looking at his what? Downtown Rob Brown's head darted up, but I don't know what that means. I don't know if it means You don't know if it means he does or does not know. Do you know? Do you not know? Oh, he knows. Oh, and we're not saying it, but that was one of the questions. Okay, we're not saying it, you goon. I don't know. A third now. Okay, now those are the worst of them. Now they get a little better. uh that certain uh spot for a woman, you know, assign the letter G, right? People asking where that is. Well, good. Yeah. Yeah. Find it. Oh, please. It's not difficult to Oh, what a male perspective. It's not difficult to uh Yeah, sure. Uh number four. How often do married couples do it? And you know, the sad thing about this is yes, it does of course uh go, you know, start to taper off after you get married, but they're saying that over the last several years, it's gotten way worse. It's gotten a lot lot worse for married couples. Um, and then finally, the fifth most Googled sex question of 2025. When can you have sex after C-section? That hurt. I haven't even had children that hurt me. Oh, yeah. When can you have sex after a C-section? Want do now? Can I? No, you can't. Uh they say uh they say maybe about like, you know, 6 to 8 weeks, something like that. It's basically whenever you feel you can, but yeah, averages like maybe 6 to 8 weeks. Yeah. Yeah. That that one I think women are asking Google to simply print out the answer and hand it to their husband. It's like asking, right? Stop asking. I've got documentation. Here you go. Leave me alone. I have a doctor's note. Exactly. Exactly. Right. Oh my gosh. All right. So, that being said, our phone number is 1800 283101.5. We're not asking you that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right. We are done with that. That's just one of those many weird end ofear lists. So, um, end of the week game coming up. We're going to be playing, uh, what would Kylie do? That's basically would you rather? But she now, have you written down your answers yet? Yes, you have. Okay. Uh, most of them. You better finish it up before 6 because we have to have it documented. I'm holding it far enough away that you can't see what I've written, but you can see that there is stuff written. Okay. So yeah, it's basically like would you rather questions, you know, um two equally uh awful choices and you know, guntohead, you got to pick one or the other. Uh you could use a phone a friend when we do that. You could ask me my opinion. I'm not always going to be right, but I don't know how she answered these. Uh and we're going to be giving away lottery tickets. So that's coming up. Now, I want to ask about something because of the holidays. I know that this thing started around 2005ish, I believe. Um, I think it was probably peaking probably by 2010, but I hear it's still going strong. The elf that sits on the shelf at the holidays, you know, the elf, that magical elf, the elf that watches your kids for those sends messages back to Santa who's bad, right? Who's good, who's bad? It's basically um it's basically like Santa's uh muscle, you know. It's like his uh you know, his muscle guy. He sends him in. He reports back to Santa. Let's just call it what it is. His narc, right? He's a narc. He's a spy, right? He's a snitch, right? And uh and you know the rule is I believe that if he uh is moved then then like what you get nothing. Isn't that it? Don't look at me. Like you can't touch the elf. In other words, the elf on the shelf I believe and somebody could correct me if I'm wrong. You are not allowed to touch the elf. The elf moves on its own overnight when everybody is asleep and then the and then the elf will take up very odd positions. Creative, right? Right. It could be on the tree, but then you wake up in the morning and it's on top the fridge. Um, it stays there all day. You go to sleep that night. You wake up the next morning, it's over the fireplace, you know, the fourth morning, it's down there by the dog food bowl. I mean, it moves all over the house, but you're not allowed to touch it on your own. It reports back to Santa. And I have a question. If your home has had this magic in it of the Elf on the Shelf, did you ever have a close call or an outright fail with the Elf on the Shelf? Meaning what? I mean, you know, maybe uh some odd circumstances. Maybe maybe somebody got busy. Uh, maybe the elf stayed overnight in the same spot. Maybe the elf didn't move. You know what I'm saying? Something like that. Maybe the kids noticed the elf didn't move. And it's like, "Hey, what's going on with the elf? My snitch was supposed to move." Things like that. Anything that could go wrong with an elf on the shelf. Did you have it happen? Did you have even a close call that it could have happened? 1 800283101.5. It is 518. Here's fast traffic. You've had it with Skyhigh electrication. We're coming up on 5:25 with Jeff Dinsky and Kylie Moore. Aaron votes news coming up in 5 minutes. Okay, so that that pesky little elf on the shelf. Yeah, the magical one. Yeah, you you know him, right? The snitch. He reports back to uh Santa. That's how Santa comes up with his uh naughty and nice list. Has he ever um come up with the Jeffrey Epstein list? No, that's not his role. Your lips to God's ears. All right. Oh, that one. Different question. Sorry. Go ahead. Has he ever uh slipped perhaps? Has there been a close call? Any sort of elf on the shelf fails. Right. Right. Maybe he had too much eggnog. Right. An elf fail or an elf close call. 1 800283101.5. Lisa in Beachwood, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey guys. Hi Lisa. Happy Friday. Happy Friday. So, we have a six-year-old and an 8-year-old, and our six-year-old is a handful. She doesn't listen. She's just a pain in the tush. Anyway, so my husband and I, my husband and I are terrible when it comes to this elf, and we forget to move the elf regularly. So, the elf goes back to the North Pole at night, comes back the next morning, is in a different spot. So, our kids are like, "Why didn't the elf move?" So, we're just like, "Well, the elves didn't go back to Santa last night because you weren't listening yesterday and the elves didn't want to tell Santa that you were a bad girl and you didn't listen." Oh, smart. Oh my god, that is smart. Like, basically, this is like when a cop pulls you over and he gives you a warning instead of a ticket. Yes. Yeah. So, then they're like, "Well, is she ever going to go back to the North Pole?" And I was like, well, Santa's going to eventually ask ask her why she hasn't been back and she's going to have to tell Santa that you don't listen to mommy and daddy. And the quickest thinking I've ever had in my whole life. You run a tight ship, Lisa. That is brilliant. Yeah. It's like, well, is he ever is he ever going to go back to the North Pole or she going to go back to the North Pole? Well, are you ever going to be good? Yeah. I love this. That's kind of how it goes down. That's so smart. I I pray she doesn't because I don't want you to end up on the naughty list, right? It's like you better hope so and go back soon. Exactly. Yeah. Wow. That is It's quick thinking. Quick thinking on my husband's part. Yeah. Now, now this Do Do these elves on the shelf have uh separate names or do you just name them yourself or do they come with a name? I'm not sure how this works. Yeah, the kids the kids name them and every year when the elf comes back, nobody can remember the elf name. So, every year it has a different name and this year it name is Ginger, I think. Whatever they feel goes with it. I think, you know, they wanted to name it Roomie after um the K-pop demon hunter. Oh gosh. Of course, every year they come up with something different. Yeah, Ginger's way too hot of a name for an elf. I'm sorry. Ginger is kind of a It's kind of annoying because our neighbors are like, "We have the kids would come over and they're like, we have four elves and our elves broke our television." And I'm like, our elf just sits on a shelf or sits in a tree or hangs from a picture frame because I'm not down with all these crazy things that these Oh, yeah. It's like, don't you hate these other parents? Like, oh, you got four elves. Yeah. Thanks. Go for you. Right. Yeah. Lisa, thank you for calling New Jersey a 1.5. Merry Christmas. Thanks for adding more pressure to my life. Thank you. All right. So, we're talking about the uh the Elf on the Shelf and uh have uh has your particular Elf ever um you know almost had a fail, a bit of an oopsy, right? Uh Mike in Jackson, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hey guys. Yeah, we had a complete and utter disaster in our home years ago. So, my kids are in their early 20s now and they were probably like seven and six and they're only 14 months apart. Uh my son is the youngest one and but he has autism. And so sure as heck we're in another room and I hear a scream like somebody's getting murdered and I come running in and it's my daughter screaming because my son just you know climbed up on the thing and got the elf off the tree or off the the light I believe it was. Yeah. And she's like no Santa's not going to come now. Oh my god. She was traumatized for days trying to explain to her, "Santa understands. He knows about your brother. It's okay. He's not coming." She was traumatized. Oh, no. Now, now was this was Was her getting upset be I I'm asking I I have two still young boys who have autism. Was her getting upset triggering him or was he okay? Keith is careless. He was just so glad he got the elf away. All right. So, he was fine. He was right. He was fine. Yeah. But her, oh my gosh. You know, we talk about it now. We laugh about it, but she's still She goes, "Oh my god, that was terrible back then, but yeah, it's it's we laugh at it now, but my god, at the moment, traumatizing." Yeah. But I mean, Right. Yeah. Santa's not a bad guy. He's just looking for some intel. But Right. Right. But I mean, the first night that the elf was there, he reported back and Santa probably already knew that, you know, this boy's on the spectrum. He's not going to hold that against him. A well, while I'm sure not cute at the time, that's a very cute story now, Mike. Thank you for sharing. We appreciate you calling New Jersey 101.5. All right, so we're talking about Elf on the Shelf. Did you ever have an elf fail or an elf close call? 1 800 283101.5. Right now, an alarming New Jersey 101.5. Uh, yeah, still going strong. I think I was hearing um Oh, could this be right? was like 28 million I think Elves on the Shelf um showing up in people's homes. I'll believe you. Yeah. I'm not I'm not going to say sales. I'm saying, you know, showing up in people's homes, right? Mhm. Uh so I think it's still a big thing. I mean, I think it peaked maybe 10 years ago, but still we're looking for a we're looking for historical anecdotes. If you ever had an elf on the shelf in your home, what sort of fails happened or what sort of near disasters? What sort of close calls happened? 1800283 101.5. TJ and Freehold, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Good evening. So, um, uh, my girls are a grown-up, but when they had the Elf on the Shelf, they named it Chase Rainbow, which I thought was adorable. Chase Rainbow. That sounds like that sounds like a male dancer in a gay club. I I agree with you. However, and if the elf was, that's perfectly acceptable. Oh, yeah. I mean, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. No, I'm just I mean, it really struck me. Chase Rainbow Tonight, one night I don't. Wow. All right. Anyway, so uh I used to go to the dollar store and buy these little tiny plastic gnomes, like garden gnomes. They're like about an inch tall. and I'd put them on the table and I would unwrap a number of the Hershey candy kisses and flatten out the foil and then make it look like the gnomes were putting the foil on the candy kisses. And it and then I would sit the the elf in a wine glass and his little buttocks would be facing downward in the glass and then I'd put a candy kiss underneath his butt and make him look like he was dropping a doodoo. Oh my god. Yeah. Oh, you put way too much thought into this. TJ lit. Uh Jeff literally just like grabbed his forehead. Yeah, I did like a face palm on that. Like you put way too much effort into this. And then one other time he was in the kitchen face Rainbow with a magic marker and he was drawing all kinds of things on the the the bananas and the banana fruit bowl and writing, you know, notes and this and that. It was pretty humorous. like, you know, there were times where you you missed your movement and you would just say, "Okay, yeah, he didn't move today because again, he he's had a reason maybe you girls weren't real good this day and you didn't want to go back and report it." So, yeah, that's that's definitely a good way to get off if you forget about, you know, moving it. So, I I give kudos to that other parent, too. Definitely the way. Yeah. So, uh how long how old were the girls before the elf stopped? uh visiting. I'll put it that way. That's a good question. I would say it was around 11 on my youngest was probably around 11. And the older one, I think it just went along. Kind of went along. Yeah, it was around 10 or 11, I think it was. Yeah, around there. But it was fun. It was fun. But I like the doodoo one. Do you think Well, now you sound like you had so much fun with it. So, I think I know your answer, but I was going to say TJ, do you feel that the whole Elf on the Shelf thing is just one more thing that modern parents now have to worry about around the holidays and like it's too much pressure or not? You know what? You either got to commit or don't commit. That's what it is. You know, either going to do it or not do it, right? Right. Oh, it definitely sounds like you committed. Like you had them doing all kinds of stuff. Did you have Guys, have a have a wonderful weekend. I really enjoy you guys. Oh. Oh. Oh, and by the way, real quick, TJ, um uh we're doing uh the game uh that you love so much. What would Kylie do coming up in this Kylie? Option one or two. He's doing it. He's doing it. Okay, that's wonderful. All right, good. So TJ, we're going to be hearing from you later on in the uh in the six o'clock hour. We will hear you recording. Have a great weekend. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. All right. So, which families do versus don't do Elf on the Shelf? And you know what? Here's a question. I never even thought about this one before. It just popped in my head. If you're a family that is not visited by Elf on the Shelf or or you know, or in the past, but your kids go to school with other kids whose families are visited. Were you ever asked about that? Like were you ever asked like well why don't we have an elf that comes in like how do you like what do you do there? Is it just too much damn pressure on parents to keep up this elf on the shelf thing? I want to hear I want to hear from people. 1800283101.5. Okay, let's act out the scenario. You're the kid. I'm the parent and you're asking why the elf doesn't visit us. Yeah. Hey uh ma. Yes. Uh yes, Jeffrey. Ma. Yeah. Um, I was talking to um I was talking to Noah at school and you know they've uh they've got um they've got this um Chase Rainbow this uh this guy the stripper. Yeah. Yeah. The stripper guy. Yeah. And he's an elf, you know. Okay. And um and uh he reports back to Santa. And but we don't have any elf and I I was wondering why. Oh, Jeffrey, that's so sweet of you to ask. It's because you're so good. Santa already knows. He doesn't need a spy. He doesn't need anyone to report back. But maybe I'm better than Santa knows. And maybe I'd get more gifts if we had a a gay elf in here. Go to bed. What? Go to bed. I What? Well done. See, but I could see a kid doing that. I could see a kid thinking, "All right, if I'm already good, maybe I'm better than Santa thinks I am, and maybe I can get more gifts." And that's how they're gonna counter. That was inspired. I I actually don't like how you came up with that. I know. Yeah. Right. But I mean, think about it. Yeah. Like maybe Santa's thinking I'm a B+, but what if I'm an A? Yeah. One of us One of us has kids, one of us is not. Oh, yeah. I know their little sneaky tricks. But I will say people are writing in on the app saying that um let's see, this was from Jen from Jersey. Elf on the Shelf makes me so glad that I'm Jewish. Oh, that's too funny. And then our friend Sloan Freehold says, "Agreeing with Jen, yet another reason I'm grateful to be Jewish. I'd crumble under the pressure of having to deal with the elf and no mench on a bench in this house. I refuse." Is wait a minute. Is that just a joke or is that a thing? Legitimately do not know. I know. It's It's so good. It almost sounds like it's maybe an actual thing. In my mind, I'm going to give Sloan credit that. Yeah, that's real joke. Oh, you think it's got to be a joke? I can Google it during the traffic. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Everybody quickly look up mention a bench. That's too funny. Don't call Rob. We'll figure it out. All right. Her phone number is 1 800283101.5. Okay. We do have the uh Acton Networks is the only company that I would say has a a a keener eye on people than the elf on the shelf. Than the elf on the shelf. Right. Right. Yeah. In the hierarchy. Right. In the hierarchy, it's it's Elf on the Shelf, Acton Networks. No, no. Acton, Elf on the Shelf, FBI. Oh, Kener. Keener than the Elf on the Shelf. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, Kener. Oh, that's bold. Okay. Acton networks on the shelf. Mench on a bench. Okay. So, wait. What did you get? Okay. This is This is a real thing. This went on Shark Tank once. I didn't know anything about this. Now, what is before I read this, what is Sloan saying, you said you got an update on Mench on the Bench because we were talking about Elf on the Shelf and somebody made I what I thought was maybe a joke, maybe not about Mench on a bench. So, for anyone who wasn't listening, I was reading an app message from our friend Sloan and Freehold saying, "Yet another reason I'm grateful to be Jewish. I'd crumble under the pressure of having to deal with elf on the shelf and no mench on a bench in this house." And we were joking about it. She responded, "It's a real thing." Yes, it she's right. Maybe we're the last to not know this. I don't know. But here it is. Uh there's actually a website, the mench on a bench.com. This was pitched, and I don't know the result of it, if they invested or not, but this this idea went on Shark Tank at one point. Okay. Okay. And if they got funding or not, I have no idea. But they're selling these. And apparently, uh, okay, here up top, hundreds of thousands of these have sold, making magical moments with over 325,000 Jewish families. Apparently, that's how many are out there. And, uh, the advertising on the website, add more funka to your Hanukkah. That's what it says. Add more funa to your hanukah. I'm not lashing out at you. I'm lashing out at the concepts. Okay. So, and then it says, "The mench on a bench is a new Hanukkah tradition designed to bring families together while teaching the importance of the holiday. Moa the Mench and his family are on a mission to inspire others to be honorable. Uh, Menches uh bring fun and laughter to your family during the holiday season. Uh whether you're shopping for children or boobies, uh there's a member of the of the of the Mench family uh for everyone making this the perfect uh Hanukkah gift. And and the lore is that Oh. Oh, and they have things like Oh, shoot. They have all kinds of them. They're like little stuffed animals, right? Or stuffed toys. Um there's the snow mench. There's Moisa the mench. There's Mitzvah the moose. Mhm. Mitzvah the moose. And you get these and you're supposed to move them every night just like Elf on the Shelf, but they are supposed to guard over uh the the Hanukkah candles or the um monora. Manora. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Uh they they guard over the manura, but you move them every night just like Elf on the Shelf. To that I say, "Oh, I didn't know. Maybe I'm the last to know. I don't know." We're going to have our end of the week game coming up after Aaron votes news on New Jersey 101.5. Stay with us. Scott, how's your back feeling these days as your New Jersey chime time? It is coming up on 610 on a Friday night in the great Garden State. We are Damky and more. I'm Jeff Daminsky. I'm Kylie Moore. And it is time to play the exciting game show. What would Kylie do? What would Kylie do? Option one or two. Date a dolphin or a monkey. What would Kylie do? It's time for us to choose. Just what would Kylie do? Don't try to top TJ. You're not going to top TJ. Okay. I can't remember your I know one time we actually got you to answer that. Would you date a dolphin or a monkey? I think you Yeah, you would go for the monkey. Yeah. Yeah. Can we We can hold hands. You can hold fins. You want a land animal to date, right? Yeah. You have your bar set pretty low. Just has to be a land animal. Can you survive on land? Will do. She's reading right off her dating profile right now. You saw that? Oh, all right. This is uh if you never heard this game, it's very simple. We give these um often ridiculous questions. Sometime it's a morality thing. Sometimes it's just like a ew gross thing, but neither option is ever very good. But guntohead, she has to pick one or the other, right? It's kind of like the would you rather game and she has written her answers down. I only have the questions. I do not know how she answered this, but we have her do that. Just, you know, if I smell a rat, we could always check her papers, check her documents, and make sure she's not just throwing it for the player. But you are allowed rather than just take a 50/50 blind guess, which you can do. But if you want to pick my brain, you can. But I always warn you, I do not know the answers. That is true. I have kept this under locking key, right? I do not know the answers. It's just that I've known her a long time. I might be able to help you, but I could also lead you right off a cliff by accident. So that's like, you know, up to you. And if you want to play, it's 1800 283101.5. The prize tonight we are giving away stacks of New Jersey lottery tickets. New Jersey lottery. Anything can happen in Jersey. Gambling problem. Call 1 800 gambler. If you want to win some uh scratchoffs, you might win some big money. Call us at 1800 283101.5. And what a stupid way to win a lot of money. Well, she did a monkey or a dolphin. Yeah, right. Yeah. Katie in Lakewood, you're on New Jersey 101.5. Hi, Katie. Hi. I might know a monkey. I mean, but but yeah, really? Well, well, now I'm interested. Well, hold on. Does he have his own car? Like like one of those little miniature circus cars, you know? I think he might. That is so That is so true though. Like imagine like you won money on these scratch offs and it's like, "Hey Bob, how did you pay your house off?" Well, because I guess that she would date a monkey. I said that woman would date a monkey, right? And I said that neurotic woman. Yeah, right. Okay. Now, he does scratch a little bit though. So far, now Katie, this one, um, they're not all going to be, uh, you know, very pretty. Some are like this one. Now, we asked her, "Would you rather reach into a fully used portagon to rescue a kitten that fell inside?" Reach into, you know what I mean? Like fully used to to rescue kitten or or let the kitten drown. But either way, in either scenario, no one will ever know. So would so would she say that she would reach in to save this kitten into that disgustingness or since nobody would know, just, you know, turn, walk away and nobody's ever got to know that she let a kitten drown. What? I know she's not a big animal lover. She What do you think, Jeff? Okay, I'm a little torn on this because on one hand, I know that she washes her hands like 30 times a day. However, however, I see her tear up at the most sentimental little things and I feel like she has Let a kitten die. I don't think she could. Well, see, no, I don't know. But I think she has a much bigger heart after going into I know. I mean, like, she's gonna wash him 30 times anyway. I'm thinking, you know, and I think I think Kylie has a much much bigger heart than people think. And I don't think that she could let a think she could let a kitten die. I don't think What do you mean? What the hell does that mean? I'm sorry. I I try to remain silent. I try to like look down and not make eye contact with you during this. What the hell does that mean? No, I mean I think you're wrong. She's not as big of a b word as people think she is. I'm not saying big Well, I I I Okay, I'm going back down. I'm going back down. All right. I think Wait, Jeff. You know what? If it was a monkey in the portaotty, she might let it drown. But go ahead. What do you think? Yeah, that would be like But it would be like her boyfriend letting her. No, I honestly No, but she might have had a fight. That's an excellent point. I think she would actually bite the bullet and rescue the kitten. Save the kitten. I think so. Now, we're going to go with that. Are you sure? Cuz again, I don't know. But if you want to go with it, that's fine. No, let's go with that. Yeah. Okay. Final answer, right? I don't think she could let our little kitten drown. No. Go ahead. Okay. Uh, can I come back up? Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Katie, you are a winner. Oh, I love you guys. I can't believe like a monkey. I can't believe you guys had to deliberate that long on whether or not I would let kitten die. Well, because I mean, can you imagine how But Kylie, how disgusting to reach into a porta john? I mean, how disgusting, right? Oh my gosh. No, I wouldn't be happy about it, but I would I don't know. Literally, that's flies, too. Don't forget the flies. Oh god. But that's a trope that the the protagonist in a movie has to save the cat. That's how you know that they're a good person. So, I would want to save the cat. whether it's performative or not. But nobody knows though. Remember? I know. But I would feel good about myself. Well, see, and that's what matters. You would know. And I feel good that Katie is a winner. Katie, hang on. Downtown Rob Brown is going to get your information. You're getting the lottery tickets. Sometimes I'm more confident when they do a phone a friend than I was on this one. I was I was like, and I find that weird. Well, because I know that you really hate germs. You literally have a phobia of crumbs. Mhm. That's so I'm not arguing. So, I just Yeah, I thought that was an interesting uh dilemma to throw to you. All right, let's go to uh Lori in Oakland. Hey, Lori. You're in New Jersey 101.5. Hey, how you doing? We're good. How you doing tonight? Good. Okay. Um we asked Kylie would she would she rather Now, now for perspective, she's in her early 30s. Okay. Okay. So, uh, would she rather date a 60-year-old man who plays Santa at the mall or date a 20year-old little person man who plays an elf at the mall? So, on one hand, you got a 60-year-old guy plays Santa. On the other hand, you got a 20year-old guy, but he's a little person, like literally, you know, uh, and he plays an elf. Let's pick your brain, Jeff. So, well, it's a 60 It's a 60year-old man or a 20-year-old little person. You uh you you want to pick my brain? Yeah, I'm going to pick your brains. Okay. Neither is neither is that close to her age. Although the 20-year-old is closer, but I think that she might just find that to be more of a kid. However, I think the deciding factor is Kylie is tall. Kylie's like 5'11, 510, 5'11. I don't know. All right. I'm not sure of this. I would lean towards I don't think it's going to be a long lasting relationship, but I think that she would date the Santa, the 16. I dated a Santa once. Do you know that? Did you my boyfriend was a Santa? Well, well, yeah. And you met sitting on his lap, did you? No. Maybe more than that. See, look at that. All right. This is the hardest thing to be silent during Oh my god, Lori. Did he uh did he dress up for you? Did you ever fool around when he dressed up for you as Santa? Oh, no. No. This was before he was Santa. Oh. Oh, how disappointing though, right? I was married already with a kid. He held my baby. Santa held my baby that I went out with. And Yeah. All right. Oh, boy. Leave it like that. Holy backstory. You have sufficiently stalled. I would. Yeah. I I mean, if it were me, I would go with 60-year-old over 20 yearear-old little person, but you tell me. Yeah. with Santa. She'll like Santa. Oh, okay. Lori, you and I kindred spirits. Spirits. I Yes, I would go with Santa over the elf. Okay. And I And I want to clarify. It's not It's just for the gifts. It Well, put it that way. No, it's what? Nothing to do with height. It's entirely to do with it uh the elf being a 20-year-old because even like within the building when I talk to the younger people and they're like, "Do you remember what 911 was?" I'm like, "Oh, that ages me terribly." So, I'd rather talk to six-year-old Santa. And you're kind of more of an old soul, too. Like, you know a lot of things that people are surprised that you even know. Yeah, true. All right. Well, hey, we have another winner. Lori, you are a winner. Congratulations. Talk to downtown Rob Brown and he will he will get more information out of you than we apparently already got. What a weird game. All right, we're playing. What would Kylie do? 1800 283 101.5. Here's Fast Traffic. Is a paid political announcement. New Jersey New Jersey 101.5. It is uh 625. We're playing what would Kylie do? You got a 50/50 shot. Uh just blindly guessing. You could always pick my brain, but I do not really know the answers for sure. Uh she has them all written down ahead of time. I don't have that list. All right. So, if you want to win lottery tickets, let's get back to it. Uh how about Maryanne in Springfield? You're on New Jersey 101.5. Hi. How are you guys doing? Hi, Maryanne. How are you? Hi. Um, doing good. Kylie, I want to skip to number five. Uh, do you see number five? Okay. Goes on to the next page. Okay, I got it. Yeah, this is short and sweet. Would Kylie rather be be a state executioner or be President Trump's press secretary? Now, Kylie, well, you know what? I'm not gonna say anything. I'm just gonna say I mean, you you can pick my brain if you want. You don't have to. Would she rather be a state executioner and put Okay. death row inmates to death or be President Trump's press secretary. I'm going to need to pick your brain, Jeff. I know that she's not the biggest fan of President Trump. Okay. But I also know she wouldn't even let the kitten die in the portagon earlier. So would she really would she really be morally okay with being the one to pull the switch or give the lethal squirt for ew squirt? Well, yeah. Yeah. Lethal injection. Um, sorry that that was not meant to be leading. I am like I Okay, just wasn't ready for a squirt. Honestly, I'm like 5545 on this. I think this is close. But I would I I would guess that her conscience would bother her more to be a state executioner. So, I'm going to say she probably picked be President Trump's press secretary, but I'm not sure. Yeah, I'll go with that one. That's your final answer? Yes, it is. Kylie? Yeah. I kind of want to just I want to see what's going on in there. I want to see what's going on in that administration. Oh, you you would like this more than I thought. Then I I don't I'm not saying I would like it. I I certainly like it more than being an executioner, but like Yeah, but these are all condemned people. I mean, they're all killers anyway. They deserve to die. Okay. I'm not getting any tea from them. I'm going to get tea from being in the Trump administration. Oh, Maryanne. Maryanne, remember when I said I was like 55, 45? I should have been more like 9010 because she really she wants to be part of the Trump administration. Look at this. No, no, no. You want to be in the inside. You want to be in the room where it happens. Thank you. I want to be in the room where it happens. Yeah, Maryanne, you are a winner. You got NJ lottery tickets. Happy holidays. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. Wow. All right. I'm not saying I'd be happy to be there, but it's like, well, if I have to do one of these things, I want to get the gossip. Okay. Nette in Middle Sex. here on New Jersey 101.5. Hi, how you guys doing? Hey, how you doing? I just want to say I love your intro. I listen to it every day at work. I think it's hilarious. Thank you. The the intro of the show. Yeah. At 2 o'clock. Yeah. Oh, well, thank you for that. Yeah. Is it because of Allentown? Yeah. The Allentown by Billy Joel still bothers me though. But but Kylie likes that. Oh, no. Don't change don't change a thing. It's great. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. So, we asked Kylie um would she rather try to land the 747 with instructions from air traffic control or or swim 5 minutes in sharkinfested waters? So, think about this. Would she rather try to land a 747? Almost like one of those bad movies, you know? It's like, you're doing great, kid. You're doing great. Now you gota you got to look for this light on the dashboard or swim five minutes in sharkinfested waters. What would Kylie do? I hate to do this to you, but what do you think? Oh my god. I actually think more of the 747, but I just want to know what you think. You sure you don't want to just go with that? Because I don't know anyway and I feel like I'm going to steer you the wrong way. May maybe. I don't know. I know she was a runner, but was she a swimmer? So, no. Never. You answered that like way too definitively. Well, no. Yeah. In fact, she says she's not a swimmer either. In fact, she says she's not a good swimmer. No, I'm not either. Um, okay. I'll go with the 747. Thank you for not making me risk you. All right. So, her answer is 747. Kylie, as is mine. Oh, thank God. Because Okay. Yeah, I've n I've watched Jaws way too many times to ever think that I could survive. I forgot about that. Yeah. In shark infested watch all the time. We like when he said this is good to see everyone's having a great time and and then the 747 at least at least it's not on me like someone else is walking me through it. So when I crash I say when not if when I crash it's at least on the other person. But see Nette it would be like that movie speed. It would be like a speed movie. I I am so glad. See, I think I would have told you the shark one because like with a 747, you got one chance, one chance only, right? And you're coming in so fast. Whereas with the sharkinfested waters, often they'll bump you first. Maybe they'll just do like a test bite and then you could often live through a test bite. Why are you saying that like it's a good thing? No, because I'm just saying like I just think five minutes versus I don't know. I'm just glad that you went your own way. So, you're a winner. Yeah, importantly, we don't have to fight. Nette, you are a winner. Thank you for calling New Jersey 101.5. All right, if you want to play, it's 1800 283101.5. If you're an atheist, sure is cold out. Uh, winter solstice. Winter solstice, right? All those things. Happy Hanukkah. Okay. Um, we asked Kylie, would she would she rather get caught practicing how to twerk or get caught get walked in on going number two. Would she rather get caught practicing how to twerk or would she rather get walked in on going number two? Um, I think I know, but what about you, Jeff? What What do you think? I'm curious. No, never mind. Well, again, see, I keep going. See, I feel like the portagon was very foreshadowing because if she had no problem reaching in, although then again, that's not another human being in there with her. I don't know. She's also got this kind of like crude sense of humor. Uh, I think that it would bother her more to be caught twerking because you know why? And you know why I think I think because everybody goes number two, not everybody is practicing trying to twerk. Um, I I don't know. I kind of think the other way. I think it would it would more bother her if somebody walked in when she was in the bathroom versus like twerking. Like twerking is like no big deal. Like, who cares, you know? So, is that your answer? I think she'd be okay with the twerking. Kylie, I don't like dancing. I'm sorry. Oh, no. Jennifer, we're sorry. Jennifer, I apologize, but No. So, it was twerking that would bother you more. Yeah. We appreciate you calling New Jersey 101.5 though. Jennifer, thank you for calling. And when you said, you know, everyone goes number two, literally. Wait, hold on. I want to cover my other answers. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Don't let me see anything. What I wrote? What? Everybody poops. That was the kids book. That was literally the kids book. Yeah. You know what? Yeah. But like not everybody is trying to look like Miss Hot Stuff and you would feel embarrassed more with that because you would be thinking that the person who caught you trying to twerk was like, "Oh, she thinks she's all that twerking." Yeah. I am not a good dancer, but I'm a decent uh The other one. I mean, you know how good at twerking I am. I do it here in the office quite a lot. If you ever If you ever want less, no. All right. 1 800283 101.5. I'm desperate to see it. Leo in North Brunswick. You're on New Jersey. 101.5. Hey, Leo. Hello there. How are you? Hi Leo. We're good. How are you? Okay, this is an awkward one. Which one are we going to? Number nine. Okay, number nine. Number nine. Uh, we asked her would she rather accidentally send a sex, you know, a dirty text, accidentally send a text to her dad, or send a flirty email meant for her work crush, but accidentally to the entire company? 8:30. So would she accident So would she rather accidentally send a sex to her dad or send a flirty email thinking it was to her work crush but to the entire company? [Music] What do you think? Well, I think I mean her father I mean it's just her father. It's no big deal. I mean if it was working company everybody would know who her crush would be. But what what would you think, Jeff? I think you just convinced me actually. No. Yeah, seriously. Because Right. Because I mean, I think they would like it would be awkward only for maybe one night, but then they'd have a laugh about it, whereas Right. that could affect a lot of things at work. So, yeah, I I I think you're probably on the right track, but I don't know for sure. But yeah, I would I would agree with you. H So, is that what your answer is? Yeah, I vote that. All right. He says you would rather accidentally send a sex to your dad. Well, I hope he's not listening, but Leo, you are correct. All right. Again, none of these is ever a fun choice. They're all bad. That That's the point of the game. Absolutely not. Nobody wants either of these. Leo, you are a winner. Hang on. Rob is going to get your information and you are getting the NJ lottery tickets. All right. Back on the winning streaks for the sex. I could just be like, "Oh, I meant to um I don't know. That was supposed to be a movie quote for uh Jeff. We're we're playing what's it from?" Email to the Don't be sending that to me. Email to the whole company. Not going to be like, "Hey, dear EJ, do this." No, it's just That one's way too messy. Oh, you you said EJ. Did she Did she spill Oh my Did she spill some tea? Seriously? No. No. He's like my father who I just said I would sex. No, exactly. That doesn't help at all. Oh my god. Do you actually have a Oh, wow. AJ's a very nice person. Oh wow. Okay, I'll say nothing more. We're playing What would Kylie do at 1800 283101.5? Uh let's go to Kim and Colt's neck. We asked her would she rather Now, now this is not even humanly possible. Oh, I hate Okay, just just accept the weird premise as possible. Okay. Would she rather sweat maple syrup out of her pores or would she rather cry Fanta orange juice? So when she cries, it would be Fanta orange juice coming out of her uh tear ducts. Or when she sweats, it would be maple syrup coming out of her, you know, all of it. Yeah. Everywhere. All the pores. Which would she rather? Would she rather sweat maple syrup or cry Fanto orange juice? I mean orange soda. Am I Did I keep saying juice? Orange soda. Fanto orange soda. I'm not sure. What do you think, Jeff? Okay, this one I feel so confident about to be honest with you. And do I know for sure? No. But she hates stickiness. Like this is a big reason why she's always washing her hands and maple syrup sweating. It's going to be so sticky everywhere. I think that would drive her crazy. And I think she's going to sweat a lot more often than she cries. I feel 90% confident in saying she would choose cry phanto orange soda. Okay, I'll go with you. You were right, but for very different reasons. I thought you were going to mention how often I talk about sweating. I sweat way too much. Well, right. And I said you sweat more. Yeah. Did you hear that part? I said you sweat more. But you But you've I buried the lead. Yeah. You started with the stickiness. I'm sorry, Kim. What's important is that you're aware. Yeah. Don't argue with me. We No, thank you for calling. We appreciate you calling New Jersey 101.5. Happy holidays. No, I thought I didn't think you were going to start with I'm literally sweating right now. I didn't think you would start with the the stickiness. I thought you would start with how I'm constantly sweating whether I'm warm or cold. Imagine your armpits start sweating, right? And it's maple syrup and they get sticky. You wouldn't even be able to raise your arms. Bless you. Like your arms would be like stuck against your pits. Bless you for thinking that. That's the first place that I went to because I was thinking the uh the undercarriage, if you will. Oh boy. 1 800283101.5 2000 severely injured veteran New Jersey 101.5. It is 652. Hey, happy everything. Happy holidays. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Okay, here we go. We asked We asked Kylie, would you rather eat a tube of chapstick for breakfast every morning or eat every bug that you see for the rest of your life? Oh, right. Why? Yeah. Again, neither one is envious. Would Would she rather eat a tube of chapstick for breakfast every morning or eat every bug she sees for the rest of her life? And that chapstick is for the rest of her life or just for one morning. Do that. That would be for the rest of her life. Every morning. Wow. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. So, what's happen? Now, you could do a phone a friend if you want. Yes, I would have to phone you, Jeff. Um, yeah. Because I mean I think bugs would be healthier no than chapstick. Okay. See, all right. You're already leaning towards where I was going to go. Here's here's my thought. Okay. People will eat bugs for protein. I don't know what chapstick might do to you. Also, if you notice the choices every morning she's got to eat chapstick, but she might not see a bug every day. Maybe she could control it. Maybe not go out every day. And and she and I once as an on air bit we ate cicas together. Wow. So she's already eaten bugs. So I think and also it doesn't say that she couldn't cook them, season them. I think that she I think she would pick bugs, but that's just me. I played this game in the summertime and I lost. I think you you're good. You're good. You got it on the nose. Bugs. So you're going bugs. Yes, sir. Kylie, what would you rather eat? You guys nailed it. I would go with bugs. It's less frequent. You're all right. I'm fine. It's not every day. And you're right. I can season them. I can cook them. And uh I thought of chapstick detect the mouth fuel. Just not for me. Jim, congrats. You won. You are a winner, Jim. Hang on. Downtown Rob Brown's going to get all of your information. And you are getting hooked up with the NJ lottery tickets. All right, we will be back on Monday. Stick around. Big Joe Henry is next.
