Two Injured in NJ Transit Rail Crash With Truck
Service on New Jersey Transit's Bergen County line was suspended for rush hour yesterday afternoon after an outbound train hit a tractor-trailer rig near the system's Garfield station.

The crash happened at noon and caused the derailment of the train's diesel locomotive. The tractor-trailer was upended and wound up on the tracks too. Service on the line was restored late yesterday evening.
The train engineer and a passenger were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
