I am not a fan of the cold weather.

Sure, its great for skiing, snowman building and my birthday (early January) but breaking out the shovel, ice scraper and salt during massive snowstorms (which New Jersey has had its fair share of during recent winters) is not something I particularly enjoy.

That's why I've embraced the spring-like temperatures I've felt across the Garden State in recent days.  While it's raining today, it is still a warm 61 degrees in Toms River. Yesterday while I was up in Warren County for the bear hunt, it was also in the mid 50's with the sun shining.

You can tell a majority of New Jersey residents seem to enjoy it as well.  People are out walking their dogs, kids are playing outdoors and windows are open on homes and cars alike as people let the fresh air in.

So its December 6th and you're saying, I just put up my Christmas tree, decorated my house and am looking forward to lighting a fire when the weather gets cold.  I am as well.

But, until then, I will continue to leave my sliding glass door open and walk out of my apartment with no coat on while my Christmas tree wreath hangs on the front door.
