An early morning accident on Route 287 near the New Jersey Turnpike caused major delays on the surrounding roads.

ABC 7 reported that a truck or car hit a snowbank on the northbound side hitting the other vehicle just west of the New Jersey Turnpike closing several lanes. There is no word about injuries.

Approaches to Route 440, which merges with 287 in that area from the Parkway and Turnpike were backed up as well according to New Jersey Fast Traffic's Bob Williams, who suggests Route 1 as an alternative route.
