State Senator Ronald Rice has introduced a bill that would allow prisoners, parolees and probationers to still have part of their civic rights if they are a veteran.

Under current laws, convicted felons aren't allowed to vote until they have served their full sentences prison time, probation and parole.

The exception would be for any veterans convicted of sex crimes.
