Is it even news anymore when a big Hollywood name is seen in New Jersey filming the next blockbuster? We certainly have become much closer to Hollywood East than ever.

But one New Jersey town may have been a bit more impressed than usual. You might say they felt a spell was cast on them.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe, who famously played Harry Potter in the movie franchise, was seen in an Essex County suburb filming a project along with actor Jonathan Groff. The film, “Trust the Man,” is a war thriller about an intelligence officer in the Army investigating the mysterious past of a decorated soldier during the Vietnam War.

The film, directed by Will Graham, was shooting July 9 in Montclair. If you don’t live there but would love a taste of the silver screen, never fear. The Montclair Girl Instagram page says the project will be filming in many Jersey locations in the upcoming weeks.

If you don’t know Jonathan Groff, let me remind you of his love. He originated the role of King George III in “Hamilton” on Broadway. He also starred in the tv series “Glee.”

Of course you know Radcliffe best for his portrayal of Harry Potter but he’s also an accomplished Broadway star, having performed in “Equus,” “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” and co-starred with Groff in “Merrily We Roll Along.”

According to NJ.com, no release date has yet been established for the new film.
