Man in this car may have tried to lure a teen girl, Linden cops say
LINDEN — A 16-year-old female high school student is the latest to be approached in a possible luring incident.
Linden Police said a man pulled up next to her on Wednesday morning and offered a ride to school. He then left the scene and headed east on St. George Avenue. The girl was unharmed and reported the incident when she arrived at school.
Police released a screen shot of a blue, two-door vehicle seen on video surveillance footage.
The suspect is described as a thin white male with short brown hair wearing a grey shirt and sunglasses.
The incident comes as police in Franklin Township (Somerset) investigate a pair of luring incidents involving a man driving a pickup truck. In East Brunswick, the driver of a white van offered a child a ride home last Wednesday afternoon in the President’s Streets neighborhood along Old Stage Road.
Linden Police asked anyone with information about this case to call 908-474-8520.
