Police Chief Wounded in Accidental Shooting
Authorities say Bordentown's police chief town was shot in the leg when his service weapon accidentally discharged inside the town's municipal building.
The shooting occurred around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday in the tax collector's office in the Bordentown Township municipal building.
Authorities say a juvenile caused the discharge that injured chief Frank Nucera, but further details on how it happened were not immediately disclosed. The wound Nucera suffered were not considered life-threatening and he was being treated at a hospital, but further details on his condition were not disclosed.
The municipal building was closed following the shooting.
No other injuries were reported.
