Phillies Pitcher Roy Halladay Leaves Team For Family Reasons
Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay has left the team to deal with a family matter.
The ace of the Phillies staff left the team after a rough start on Wednesday and is expected to rejoin the team on Friday according to WPVI TV.
Halladay gave up 12 hits - one below his career high - and eight runs in 5 1-3 innings on Wednesday night against Atlanta. After the game he was regretful that he pitched poorly while teammate Carlos Ruiz had three hits, including a three-run homer in the seventh and a three-run double in the eighth.
The Phillies on their website say Halladay is healthy.
