6 ABC reports the flatbed hit a box truck in the northbound outer lanes between exit #6 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) and #7 (Route 206) causing the overturn. Two people who were trapped inside the tractor trailer's cab, were later freed. The Courier-Post reports they were treated at Capital Health Hospital in Trenton.

As the clean up operation and investigation continues a multi-mile rubber necking delay has developed on the shared car-and-truck lane according to New Jersey Fast Traffic.
