The agency is partnering with New York Waterways which will provide ferry service to customers.

The pilot program will allow riders to skip the traffic-clogged Lincoln Tunnel and Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Starting June 3, riders on three NJ Transit bus lines will have the option to take buses to Weehawken's Port Imperial.

The boat ride to Manhattan's Pier 79 on West 39th Street takes about 8 minutes.

Fares for July and August are $98 for 10 bus and 10 ferry rides for zone 2 bus riders and $122 for zone 3 passengers.

A regular rate will be established in September.
